Team Ukraine's Net Connections
If you look closely at the NBA.com video of the Ukraine National Team training, you'll notice a number of Nets connections. Mike Fratello, who's been doing color with Marv Albert and Ian Eagle, is head coach and a current Nets assistant and a former assistant are in there wearing Ukraine Basketball shirts.
Rich Dalatri, the Nets' strength and conditioning coach, "came on board to help our players with skills development and to get them in shape for tournament competition", Fratello says on his website. Former lead assistant Brian Hill is playing the same role for Team Ukraine. Ukraine beat Estonia Saturday and will play Russia in the opening round of the European championships on August 31.

Btw, I’m reading Dooling is going to sign with the same team Sasha joined… and that he intends to stay there even when (if) the lockout is lifted.
Also, it has been reported that Nicolas Batum has reached a deal with a French team to play there during the lockou and Ron Artest could be nearing an agreement with a British team.
At this point you can bring up any topic,
and somehow connect it back to the NETS

a Nets assistant coach has joined the Nets announcer
in coaching a team in the European championships.
We have reported on what other assistants have done this summer and since Dalatri is 1) the most senior Nets assistant: 2) expanding his coaching repertoire to skills development, it’s interesting.
maybe certain people will stop bashing D-will
for playing overseas now that 14 other players have done it. I’m sure this number may go up to around 30 by sept.
