Forty Nets employees piled on air-conditioned charter buses Friday morning and headed for Brooklyn and the Barclays Center construction site, a week after 25 others were given the same tour. The Nets organization then treated their employees to lunch at Alchemy, two blocks from the arena site.
No word on whether the Nets have had any layoffs as a result of the lockout, but back in April, Bloomberg reported that the team didn't intend to drop any employees. The latest report on construction progress at the site, issued Thursday, shows the arena remains a month ahead of schedule and the transit connection two months ahead.
