Top 10 Worst Moments of the 2010-2011 season
The Nets had its ups and downs this season. Here are the top 10 moments that really hurt as a Net fan.
In no order...
1. Signing Travis Outlaw to a 5 year 35 Million Dollar Contract after they struck out with the big free agents.
2. In Nets vs Thunder game, the Nets were up by 3 and Stephen Graham fouled Jeff Green in the act nearly leading to a 4 point game.
3. Yi having a big game against the Nets and making his free throws. This lead to Yi pounding his chest in the loss to Wizards.

4. Losing out on Carmelo Anthony to the New York Knicks.
5. Brook Lopez averaging 6 rebounds a game at the end of the season as a 7 foot Center.
6. Getting swept by the New York Knicks, and having their fans pack the Prudential Center booing our players.
7. Brook Lopez shoe incident at MSG.
8. Deron Williams being shut down for a wrist injury in April.
9. Jameer Nelson fadeaway to beat us against Magic.
10. Troy Murphy's play as a Net.
Any other bad moments this season?

THIS
I was there too. That loss sucked.
WHEN YOU DESCRIBE the prototypical NBA center, he is not complete without superlative size, strength and athleticism. He’ll fight for the tough rebounds in the trenches, but is just as quick to burn you with a shot from 15 feet.
Johan Petro possesses all of these skills and more, and at a mere 23 years of age, he bears all the promise of fulfilling his vast potential.
Fricking Graham foul
aghhhh

- actually belongs on the top 10 best moments of the season, knowing what we know now.
On June 29th, 2001, the New Jersey Nets and the Phoenix Suns agreed to a trade involving Stephon Marbury and Jason Kidd.
On February 23rd, 2011, the New Jersey Nets and the Utah Jazz agreed to a trade involving Devin Harris and Deron Williams.
A new beginning. LETS GO NETS!
the last loss to the knicks
World Series attitude, champagne bottle life, nothing every changes so tonight is like tomorrow night.
tht outlaw gw shot
tht he took against bobcats beginning of the season that snaped 2 game winning streak and gave us first loss of the season…..he could have passed it to morrow who was wide open..
I remember that game
I was so pissed! I think that game was the beginning of the “Outlol” era.

Short list
All the close games we lost, Outlaw signing, and being swept by the Knicks.

Nah, what was worse was Outlaw traveling. Then Deron taking the last shot and missing.
With his injury I’d rather go with Lopez at that point, and he could have won it for us.

Is it just me or
who cares about that big game Yi had. I don’t even remember, but what I do remember is that Wizards game that we lost when we were up by double digits, and John Wall kept making clutch shots to beat us.
I hated the Pacers, and Sixers beating us so bad. They were supposed to be bad this year, but somehow I was proven wrong..

Terrence Williams
And blowout losses to the Wiz , Bucks , Pacers , Wolves … and probably some others.
I think at one point Lopez , Gadruric , Sasha , Graham , and Farmar started ….. so that was comical and a lowpoint.

Petro’s contract also is horrible. He is really worthless.
WHEN YOU DESCRIBE the prototypical NBA center, he is not complete without superlative size, strength and athleticism. He’ll fight for the tough rebounds in the trenches, but is just as quick to burn you with a shot from 15 feet.

This guy...
Believe it or not, negative things DO happen to this team on occasion, and fans WILL talk about it. We’re not all cheerleaders running around shouting, “Travis Outlaw/Yi is the best player the Nets ever had, yay! Our former GM drafted Jordan, yay! (Insert name of current coach/GM) is the best, yay! (Insert name of former coach/GM) was no good, boo!” We’re not all homers like some.

When
Kris Humphries tripped. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I65E2cpGqFg
i dont hate petro
i just dont understand what made us give him 3mill,, i dont think any other teams were fighting us over petro give the guy a mill or hed prolly be playing in Europe
Agreed
We could have picked up ANY vets min. type of big man, and we’d have gotten similar if not better production than what we got from Frenchie. Somebody tell me what Petro had done or shown during his NBA career prior to this summer for us to give him a $19 million contract.

Ugh
We had way too much injuries. Devin got injured, Morrow, Sundiata, even Mario West got injured. I at least want Humphries to be healthy.

a lot of what went wrong this season must be attributed to 12-70
12-70 caused us to lose out on any marquee free agent, even decent starters
12-70 cracked all the rookies/young guns heads last year
just seeing ryan anderson play huge in brandon bass(injury) and dwight howard(suspensions) absence was heartbreaking posting a couple of 20-20 games and knocking down shots from all other like a mini-kevin love because he was a throw in in the VC trade because “Yi had better potential”
courtney lee doing his share and then some the erase rockets fans memories of the failed trevor ariza experiment
cd-r not playing big minutes but decided to torch us for 30 points and telling ilyasova to punk lopez for 20 and 15
lets us witness:
c-lee and morrow vs morrow and sasha
t-will and james vs james and outlaw
cd-r vs graham and ross
RA vs wright and murphy
no contest what i would take and how much better this team would be. not to forget that all those guys except morrow(for the guys i want) would still be on rookie deals

Am i the only person that regrets
trading T-Willz and not trying to resign CDR? I mean I would have went crazy to go through what they went through, but by no means would I have traded them or let them walk

I hated that game where Dirk was playing horrible. Then he makes this game winner out of nowhere.
I was so mad. That was something I couldn’t forget for a while.

#4 needs help
Change it to “humiliated ourselves by spending months throwing ourselves at the Nuggets’ front office in order to offer way too much in order to get the most overrated player in the league, who also happens to be a stop-squealing, me-firster, sucker-punching knucklehead” and it would be closer to the truth.
