Humphries Says Relationship with Kim Kardashian is "Motivation," Not Distraction
For many, Kris Humphries' breakout season is a surprise, but not for Humphries himself. "I kind of expected it," Hump told CBS NewYork. "It’s just about getting in the right situation with the right coach who really gave me the opportunity to expand my role."
And while many would think that his relationship with Kim Kardashian would be a distraction, Humphries says that it keeps him motivated, noting "how hard she works."

I thought you have to win a bunch of games if you want to win the MIP?
However, after last nights loss to Phila, it is clear to me that Nets would have about 5 wins (18 less) if they didn’t have Hump.
MIP is more of an individual award than the others. Teams success isn’t very relevant. Three of the last four winners didn’t go to the playoffs (Brooks, Granger, Ellis)
On June 29th, 2001, the New Jersey Nets and the Phoenix Suns agreed to a trade involving Stephon Marbury and Jason Kidd.
On February 23rd, 2011, the New Jersey Nets and the Utah Jazz agreed to a trade involving Devin Harris and Deron Williams.
A new beginning. LETS GO NETS!
Kevin Love will probably get it, though thats BS to me. Love didn’t really improve, he’s always been this good. His coach is just finally coming to his senses and giving him the play time he deserves. In the true definition of “improved” Humphries deserve it more than Love imo

Alright, alright, I'll be the one to ask it...
Can we add a clause in his new contract that states we can dump him once she does? Cuz if he’s gonna go back to sucking when she’s outta the picture…

I wonder what kind of incentive clauses we could legally add to his contract.
We don’t hear much about Incentive clauses and not many Nets players have received them.
How do you count them against the cap? I guess you would have to word them so they don’t count until the subsequent year of the contract.
I hope Proky can provide some private incentives, that noone knows about, but that convince Hump to say as soon as the season is over.
Look, if a player we want is hesitating
All Prokhy has to do is to take him and his “courchevel protégées” to that newly bough island for couple days. Done deal.

I would be Ok with him as a backup
let him be just as important as Lamar Odom (his girls brother in law) is for the Lakers.
Lopez / Petro
Randolph / Humphries
James / Outlaw
Richardson / Morrow
Williams / Farmar
"I think I’m the best point guard in the league. No reason. I just think I’m the best.’’-Deron Williams.
Randolph is resigning
"We're not there yet, but we're going somewhere," Johnson said. "And we're going to Brooklyn. We're not going to contract. We're going to Brooklyn."
Hump is better than Randolph
Younger, cheaper, better rebounder, better defender, better citizen.
hump isn't half as talented as randolph
randolph has a legit post game and is a better rebounder
good for 20/10 no prob
deron williams is better than kyrie irving

A side note I'm not sure I want VC on the cheap we can get more productivity going after someone else
His legs look dead, isn’t moving well on defense. Why the hell didn’t we go after Dowdell on the Suns he’s 6’3 with good bounce handle and playmaking ability’s, was in the D-league.
"We're not there yet, but we're going somewhere," Johnson said. "And we're going to Brooklyn. We're not going to contract. We're going to Brooklyn."
O/T, but what do you guys think about giving Sean Williams a 10 day? Can he really be worse than Petro and Wright? Yesterday he has 19 pts, 11 rebounds, and 5 blocks.
kris is inspired by "how hard she works" ?
maybe he didn’t see the video that made her famous.
I miss the days when America was only morally bankrupt...
Whether ppl want to acknowledge it or not, Kim Kardashian does a lot of things. She’s got her hand in a lot of business ventures (some she created herself) that do extremely well.
She doesn’t make 6+ million a year off a video that she did years ago. If that’s the case then where are all the others that made them and what are they doing now?
its Paris Hilton v2.0
she’ll have her run through pop culture after “working” her way out of obscurity. all kim needs to do is show up in a few movies here and there (if she hasn’t already, IDK) and she will have followed the paris hilton model perfectly. oh, then she has to go away in a few years so that her place can be taken by the next one.
did anyone see that South Park episode “Britney’s New Look” ?
I miss the days when America was only morally bankrupt...
great episode lol

And?
You make your money and get yours while you can.
I fail to see the problem..
glorifying whore-like activity...
or “getting yours” by being a whore. America!!! F—- Yeah!

Whore?
She had sex with her boyfriend. Granted it was on film, but people do it all the time.
I like some of the players mentioned.

Wow thats a pretty good list
I would love Jrich or Smith along with AK or Prince

I have to disagree that Nets need several FA pieces just to "contend" for playoffs. "Contend" suggest only 10 more wins than this season)
We seem to forgot that DWill has had little effect on the # of wins nets have. You would basically be starting with 25 wins if Nets re-signed Hump, and then you have to add in the DWill’s contribution. Since 37 wins gets you to the playoffs, then just adding an AK47 gets you there comfortably, even if he only plays in say 60 games.
As long as Hump, Lopez and DWill are healthy next season, not much would be needed, although upgrading on Petro would be nice. Adding a scoring SG would of course go further.
We seem to forgot that DWill has had little effect on the # of wins nets have
what?
I agree that the Nets need to upgrade the wings, but adding AK47 alone wouldn’t boost this team as is to the playoffs. Maybe that Knicks game would be a W if we had AK, but playoffs, no. Nets have to improve their bench big men, and have to find starting wings like you said. I’m a fan of Mr. Green of the Celtics

i would be happy if the nets let go of the hump
only if they signed chandler or nene. let brook slide to PF if they go with chandler. he’s been getting bullied by centers for a while now. scrub centers have career nights against him at least once a month. then signed any 2 of the 3 out j crawford, j rich, and jr smith.
deron/ farmar
jr smith/ morrow
j rich/ outlaw
brook “shields” lopez/ rookie
chandler / petro
that would be a top 5 seed team probably
deron williams is better than kyrie irving
couldn't be worse than what centers do to him
i mean you’re right, he doesn’t have the quickness to keep up with elite PF’s but there are only a handful of really good offensive PF’s in the league
deron williams is better than kyrie irving

oh yeah, forgot about him. use to peoples obsession with wilson chandler
that makes sense, i was thinking no one could be that crazu
Anyone else saw the promo for Khloe and Lamar on E!? LMAO
Do not be surprised by a Kim and Kris show soon.
Why I want K Mart back, we need his attitude on this team again
The scene remains in the minds of many Nuggets: On the day of the Feb. 21 trade with New York, some guys watched ESPN in the locker room, when a commentator said the Nuggets would be the “Cavaliers of the Western Conference,” after trading Anthony and Chauncey Billups.
“That’s just a slap in my face. I take it personally,” said Martin,
Denver Nuggets re-telling the message he had shared with his teammates. "I’ve been around this game, I know how to play, I’m a winner. Melo is a great player, I’m not taking that from him, but Melo didn’t make this team.

Good Article about him
Of where he’ll end up, “If it’s here (with Denver), great,” he said. “I’ve been here seven years, I don’t like moving, I don’t like change. But it’s a business, and I understand what it is. So we’ll see. It’s already April and nothing is in place.”
Asked if winning is more important than signing for more money with a rebuilding team, Martin said: “Definitely, definitely. I don’t deal with losing well. Losing in bunches, especially. I don’t do that well. For me, winning is more important than anything.”
Im one of the ones that wants to keep Hump
I’m a big Humphries Supporter, I don’t think i’ve gotten mad at him at any game this year. wouldn’t mind them splitting the 4 spot
I got mad at him when he ran over Devin Harris duing the Knicks game.
That was the turning point of the season – for the negative.
But I blame Thorn for not renegotiating his contract last year, into a 3 year deal at less that 3 million per year.
Hump is nowhere near the player Kmart was at this point in his career
Hump is a better rebounder
Kmart was a better player
Of course now Kmart is older and has had multiple knee injuries, but as you saw during the Laker game today- he is a winner. He makes plays when they count.
