Should Jamal Crawford be the Nets Top Free Agent Target?

Last offseason the Nets signed Jordan Farmar to a 3 year 12 million dollar contract because Devin Harris had been injury prone in his 3 years as the Nets starting point guard. Farmar made it to the title game as a freshman at UCLA in 2006. Drafted by the Lakers later that year, he has played in the NBA championship in his 1st three years in the NBA. Farmar's numbers as a starter for his career are fairly impressive, 13.7 ppg and 9.1 apg. The reason I mention this is because outside of the untouchables (Deron Williams, Brook Lopez, Anthony Morrow), Farmar is the most attractive trade piece the Nets have. The acquisition of Deron Williams has made Farmar expendable this offseason and in all likelyhood he will be traded.

Watching the Orlando-Atlanta series, and I cant help wondering how Jamal Crawford would fit in our backcourt. Crawfords ability to play both guard positions and scoring ability would compliment the playmaking ability of Williams and the sharp shooting of Morrow nicely. If and when the Nets do make the playoffs his ability to create his own shot is a rare commodity. I have been very vocal about my wish to sign JR Smith or Marcus Thornton but Crawford has grown on me this week. Who do you think we should go after and why?
