I've been thinking about what the Nets should do this coming draft and i think I've got it.
Sadly we gave up our own first round pick which is clearly a good pick but we got something fantastic out of it so I'm not gonna complain.
After reading some fanposts about FA and the draft I have not seen anyone say try to move up and draft a SF. So I think what we should try to do is buy a 1st rounder in the early 20's and package that the Lakers pick and our 2nd round pick to try to move up to 10-14 and try to draft Kawhi Leonard.
We don't have to strike gold and get the next best thing, we need to get a SF that will start and be useful. These are his stats:
PPG: 15.6 FG%: 44.5% FT%: 76.2 OFF: 3.1 DEF: 7.5 TOT: 10.6 AST: 2.5 STLS: 1.5
Height: 6'7 Weight: 225 Age: 19
Based on the stats alone it looks like this kid is good and has lead San Diego State to a VERY good season.
Keep in mind we don't need to draft a superstar thats going to be the next big thing we just need to draft a starting SF.
If we are not able to snag Leonard We should look to draft a guy like Kenneth Faried or Kyle Singler.
