how to turn this team into a winner without ruining flexibility

The only players you can get that are good but cheap are.....ROOKIES. there contract keeps them at a low pay for 4-5 years ? This draft may be week but the one position it is solid at is at our need, small foward. There are four good prospects Derrick Williams ( can play the 3-4), Terrence Jones, Harrison Barnes and Perry Jones. While Williams seems to be a lock in the top 5 the rest of these guys should go 5-10 and probably one will slip to 10-12. IMO that will most likely be Terrence Jones though. Still if you seen this kid he is a full 6-8 and he is strong. He plays for Kentucky which Calipari runs like a NBA team. Also him playing with D-Will will surely elevate his game. Since the draft is weak i don't think it should take that much to trade up. Also in this scenario we would not take on more money so we have it to sign other players still. When we look at great teams historically most of it is home grown. Pierce and Rondo played there whole career's in Boston. All the players on the spurs were drafted by them. Kobe and Bynum for the lakers. Also you still have that cap space to sign free agents.

Im not saying empty the basket to move up but if there is a chance to move up without giving up alot I say we do it.
