Keeping Deron is going to be based on how much fan support he sees the Nets have, and not selling out his home debut wasn't a good start. Given last night's game drew a much bigger crowd then usual, we need to do better.
I am from NJ, but have an apartment in Manhattan which I stay in all week, then go to NJ on weekends. The commute to Newark is EXTREMELY easy. NJTransit does a great job getting us Nets fans 3 blocks away from the Rock, and the trip from Brooklyn isn't bad at all.
We need to get all of those potential Brooklyn fans to start supporting the team NOW to show Deron he has a solid fan base waiting for him and whoever else he recruits so he can get excited about playing in front of a large, loud, passionate crowd every night.
Any ideas how we can reach these people?
