Mike Fratello To Coach Ukrainian National Team?

PrintA European basketball site reports that the Ukraine Basketball Federation is negotiating with Nets' broadcaster Mike Fratello to become a coach for Team Ukraine. Fratello is talking with Alexander Volkov, the head of the federation and a former Atlanta Hawks player who Fratello coached in 1989-90. Ukraine will play in FIBA's Eurobasket 2011 this summer in Lithuania, "a competition that requires the experience of a great coach, "said Volkov.
Fratello last coached in the NBA in the 2006-07 season. He has 666 career wins and there have been reports he wants to return to coaching.

Sources say
Fratello will only sign a contract to coach for the Republic of Georgia. But YES has given Ukraine permission to speak with him.

mark jackson knew alot about the nets but he has no experience coaching anywhere
