Stay connected for news and updates

A European basketball site reports that the Ukraine Basketball Federation is negotiating with Nets' broadcaster Mike Fratello to become a coach for Team Ukraine.  Fratello is talking with Alexander Volkov, the head of the federation and a former Atlanta Hawks player who Fratello coached in 1989-90.  Ukraine will play in FIBA's Eurobasket 2011 this summer in Lithuania, "a competition that requires the experience of a great coach, "said Volkov.

Fratello last coached in the NBA in the 2006-07 season. He has 666 career wins and there have been reports he wants to return to coaching.
