This guy really has NOTHING to offer. No matter who you team Travis Outlaw up with, he continues to stink up the joint. Devin couldn't help him and I doubt D-Will will be able to help him. The Nets might as well just admit to their mistake and give Outlaw the "Bobby Simmons" treatment, which is let him rot on the bench while collecting his millions. In the meantime, let's see what Damion James and Brandan Wright has to offer. They can't be any worse than OutLOL and they're still very young so they may actually have some potential to shine.
I'm still furious at the Nets F.O for the OutLOL signing. Guys like Al Harrington, Richard Jefferson, Rudy Gay, Dorell Wright and others were available. Al Harrington and Richard Jefferson even expressed their interest in playing for the Nets, but the Nets F.O just ignored them. Instead they decided to not only take a chance on a CAREER bench player like OutLOL, but they gave him an absolutely RIDICULOUS contract that no other NBA team would have ever offered him. Now the Nets F.O must be very embarrassed, as they should be. I believe that the lineup would look alot better and the Nets would have racked up more wins if they had NOT signed OutLOL and instead had RJ or Harrington, who both are capable of dropping 15-20 Points a game. And save me the "Oh, they're both 30 yrs old" comments because I don't want to hear it. I don't care if they're 35 years old, they would still be able to offer alot more than OutLOL.
So since we're pretty much STUCK with this bum OutLOL, unless by some miracle a drunk team wants to scoop him up off our books, let him just rot on the bench and watch some REAL talent play on the court. The Nets and their fans can certainly survive NOT having to watch him turn the ball over 1,000 times, trying to dribble like he's baby Jordan or something, miss WIDE-OPEN shots and getting eatened up by opposing team's Small Forwards. Let the kids play and showcase themselves. OutLOL is NOT going to be apart of the Nets future, nor should he.
