In an interview Thursday afternoon with Evan Roberts & Joe Benigno, Deron Williams said he believes the Nets still have time to make the playoffs. New Jersey is nine and a half games behind the Pacers who are currently in eighth place in the East...but 10 back in the loss column...with 25 left on the schedule.
"It will be hard. I never said it wasn't but it's not impossible," said Williams. "We're going to take it one game at a time. I'm going to start by learning these plays."
As for his commitment to New Jersey, he was even more upbeat than he had been in the Nets' press conference. "I’m gonna look to recruit guys...Hopefully this franchise is going in the right direction. A lot of things appeal to me. The move to Brooklyn and we have a lot of money to get marquee guys and bring some guys in here is definitely appealing to me."
