It seems at this point a bit anti-climactic. The Nets will open their training camp at 4 p.m., the late start the result of league rules that banned any player movement before 2 p.m. Now, however, following Thursday's rush of free agency, topped by the Dwight Howard trade rumors, almost nothing is certain.
Like some Nets fans, the team's beat writers went to sleep early after filing copy that wasn't published until after the first reports hit ESPN. The story lines are predictable and if the Nets succeed in acquiring Howard no longer valid.
