ESPN Dallas reports that the Mavericks top free agent target is the Nets' Brandan Wright, who went from lottery pick to oft-injured bench player before being traded to the Nets at the deadline. Wright, a 6'10" forward, is still only 23 years old. He had said during the season and off-season that he wanted to return.
Jeff Caplan of ESPN writes, "Former lottery pick Brandan Wright tops the Mavs' list of outside free agents." Billy King has said the Nets would like to deal with Wright's situation once the initial period of free agency has concluded.
