Kris Humphries gave a Ponzi schemer $617,000 to invest, according to a federal indictment of Andrey Hicks, a 27-year-old who ingratiated himself with Humphries to the point where he was invited the ill-fated Humphries-Kardashian nuptials and even got a seat near the couple at their wedding rehearsal party.

According to the indictment, a certain "K.H." from Minnesota wired Hicks $617,000, about one-quarter of the total he allegedly raised. Humphries is a native Minnesotan and has already admitted that he was a victim of Hicks. He has cooperated with authorities in their investigation of Hicks, who spent the money on a lavish lifestyle, rather than investing it, prosecutors allege.
