Nets Name New Strength Coach

Dr. Jeremy Bettle, the Assistant Athletics Director for Sports Performance since 2009 at the University of California at Santa Barbara, has accepted the position of Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Nets, he and the team announced Thursday.

"I am tremendously excited for this opportunity," said Bettle, a native of Leicester, England. "It was a very difficult decision to leave UCSB, but there are only 30 of these jobs (NBA) in the world and it was something I couldn't pass up." Bettle replaces long-time Nets strength and conditioning coach Rich Dalatri.

Bettle has worked in the past with Peak Performance Project, the Santa Barbara training facility where Nets players worked out just prior to the lockout. He was featured in a UCSB video on fitness three months ago.
