Ken Berger reports that the Magic still don't know the intentions of their franchise player. Despite reports of a meeting between Dwight Howard and GM Otis Smith Monday, Berger writes "Howard has not yet indicated to Orlando management whether he wants to stay with the Magic, request a trade or play out the season and become a free agent," quoting "a person directly involved in the organization's planning."
Berger's source believes things will change when training camp begins. "Training camp opens the door to everything. I think that will happen very, very soon."
Meanwhile, Magic CEO Bob Vander Weide, 53, "retired" after it was reported he called Howard at 1 a.m. while intoxicated.
