A Look at Damion James Summer
Judging by his Twitter feed, Damion James is as excited as anyone about getting back to the NBA. His enthusiasm approaches that of a rookie, and considering that injuries kept him out for all but 25 games, that's understandable. He did play in a few benefit games, the most recent in his native Texas.
As often happened during the lockout, video highlights of those games dribbled out. Last week, a short minute-long video from the John Lucas Benefit (where they didn't keep individual statistics) was posted by the game's sponsors. In it, James shows off a lot of his repertoire. But no defense is visible.

There you go....That's NO DEFENSE.......
That is NOT how it was at the benefit game in Bridgeport…….If a player went down the lane he would have been mauled……..
Damion will surprise people this year.
He never had a chance last year. The guy is one of the most athletic 6’7 players in his generation. And he does have great defensive awareness—yea I said great! Plus he has never ending arms. They just keep going. He can dunk from half court lol. But seriously, I think he will be a valuable piece to this team. Will shock a bunch of people.
