Fourth Quarter Is Armor's Friend
After a furious finish failed on Friday night, another helped the Armor win for the second time in three games Saturday. The Armor outscored the Maine Red Claws, 26-14 over the final seven and a half minutes, led by former Louisville guard Jerry Smith, who scored 12 of his 18 points in the final quarter.
The Armor had its best shooting night, but still managed only 47.2% from the floor and 36% from three. The Armor were led by Dennis Horner, who had 20 points and nine rebounds. The 6'9" stretch forward is a Jersey native who played his high school ball at Holy Spirit in Atlantic City.
The Armor also announced the signing of Marcus Hill, who they had cut a week ago. Hill is a 5'6" PG out of Minnesota State-Mankato.
