Boki Is In The (Nets) House
The Nets have reached out to Boki Nachbar, one of several teams interested in the 6'9" small forward. After two seasons in Europe, the last one in Turkey, he's pulled sort of a reverse D-Will, escaping the European game for the NBA. Now, he's reached back to the Nets, joining the team for informal workouts at the PNY Center.
No one is saying (yet) that the former Net will reach a new deal with his old team. His old GM is in Philadelphia and his old coach is in Detroit and both are big fans. But he flourished with the Nets and he still has a house in New Jersey.
But he may have his eye on the Knicks. His agent, Marc Cornstein, reminds everyone Nachbar once played for Mike D'Antoni in Italy.

Or possibly use Bi-Annual Exception of 1.9 million for 2 years.
But this would mean Amnestying Outlaw regardless of cap need.
No point in having too many players and DJames needs to get his PT.
Billy King shouldn’t let Avery have a chance to give Outlaw PT, when he wouldn’t be part of the Nets future anyway.
yesssssss!

He can play
I don’t care about those numbers. He left on his own, not because there wasn’t any interest.

Modified:
If not Howard then,
Nene (11-12 per year)
The HUMP (5-6 per year)
Moute (great defender, needed against Anthony, Lebron, Durant)
Affalo or Thornton
BOKI
Deron, Farmar, Gaines
Affalo, Morrow, Brooks
Moute, Boki, Damion James,
Nene, HUMP
Brook, Jordan Williams, Petro
LETS GO NETS!
Petro...
It’s possible Nets pair Farmar/Petro, Petro/pick, etc. to free up another chunk of money (So Nene would be more in the 14-15 mil range).
While I think HUMP would be the ideal 3rd BIG, Nets may need to settle for Hayes, Laundry, McRoberts…
One of my fav players of all time. Loved his intensity and love for the home team!
He attacked the rim with reckless abandon! With no regard for human life!!!
"LeBron puts up great numbers, can't close w/o DWade. LeBricked 3 late 3s when shouldve been driving, getting to line. What else new?"
Yet casual basketball fans think he is a God, and would exhaust their entire squads to land him...
Nobody is projecting him to start
He’s a solid rotation player who can come cheap.

this may be a minority opinion
but I’m OK with Damion James starting. He has the potential to be a top defender and rebounder at the position and shoots fairly well.

The Bar is open!!!!
We are in another atmosphere. You're just in the Troposhere we in the Exospere. In other words the JETS are higher than you!
boki plays hard
he has good size and takes it strong to the hole. considering what we’ve had at the SF, boki is far better. even if we sign AK or prince, they’ll miss time. another SF is needed, i hope it’s boki (depending on how much cash he wants)
i miss boki and how he use to step out of bounds all the time lol

Haha
He used to commit that turnover on multiple of occasion.
wait
wasn’t that Antione Wright?
I remember the night that Wright stepped out of bounds and Marv Albert said “and Antione Wright, who leads the leagye in stepping out of bounds….”
I LOL’d so hard.

no i believe it was boki
remember a butter bread play was Carter drive and kick to Boki in the corner. All the way in the corner where the space between the out of bounds and three point line shrinks and boki, if he couldnt get the shot off, would hesitate, pump and drive for a dunk, but he always stepped back first and that plant foot almost always went out of bounds

I definitely remember it being Wright more than Boki
in fact when I think of Boki I don’t remember that at all… I do remember that period where he would teabag someone out of nowhere like every night.
Nach if you Bok
Boki is a good guy to bring off the bench. I always liked his game.

Boki was a good big in helping come back
Nets need to bring him in for that but remeber that he is not a finisher or a starter.

Nachbar was awful in his last year here
The guy had some crazy dunks but he was not that good. He can’t defend either forward spot, his shot is erratic, and he lost his aggressiveness after he got hurt
dude stinks

This
I liked him as well when he played for L.Frank but that was then. Now we need a defender; or a scorer that can defend; at small forward.
He struggled on D years ago doubt he got better at it.

If the Nets land DH12...
… Turkoglu does everything Boki does.
If they don’t land DH12, I agree the Nets need a better defender at SF.

Nachbar is a beast. He’s not limited to just shooting three’s either.
Boki is great, but
Sounds like the Spurs and the Celtics first, Nets for old time sake, and Knicks if he will accept a one year deal. Are the Knicks crazy? Who will take a one year deal? Jarvis Hayes, Yi, and other Nets cast-offs. Knicks need a real center. Boki was great for us.
