PrintThe NBA has only been open for two days and Kris Humphries is the league's leading rebounder (Damion James is tied for second) and the likely leader in boos per touch (DJ not so much). Yet, The Most Hated Player in the NBA looked like he was having a grand time Monday night in Washington in spite of it all.
Before the game, he made light of his Most Hated title, telling Jessica Taff of YES, "How does that happen? We need to get that poll audited."
But really, what the heck is this all about? Avery Johnson is mystified, "I don’t know why. I’m trying to figure out, what did he do?" Johnson said. "I’m serious. Maybe because I don’t follow reality TV, I don’t know all the ins and outs of it but it’s pretty hilarious to me."
Shaun Powell of NBA.com might have the best explanation: "For those who complained they were 'duped' by a reality show wedding, perhaps that’s more a reflection on … them, maybe?"

Lopez is a scorer, a lot of Humphries points comes from doing to the dirty work and dunks. Plus if people are going crazy for Humphries after one game, something is seriously wrong with many here.

I honestly can see that we have an agreement with Humphries
That if he is traded, he can’t veto it. It could have easily been one of the conditions that Nets demanded before they signed him. So it’s very much possible that they have a gentleman’s agreement about that.

Deron can earn more money by staying, and keeping assets within HIS team. Unlike if he’s traded, assets go the different direction. Definitely won’t appeal to him.

You don’t have to tell me, but he is from Texas. At the end of the day you really don’t know but I agree with everything you’re saying. The Nets look like the best team for Williams going forward.
It wasn’t his choice to come here. This has always been a test for the Nets, could they convince Deron Williams to stay if they traded for him. They took the gamble and he has been told all along that the gamble was so they could go after Dwight Howard and create a new super team.
I don’t know that Deron will 100% definitely leave if Dwight isn’t a Net by next season.
Mavs lost too much
Barea, Chandler, Stevenson, Butler were very important to that team
Odom and Carter do not nearly add what those 4 did. Mavs are in trouble. Lost two of their best defenders! And we all know VC doesn’t play any defense.

What’s with all the Kardashian bashing, it’s Hump’s fault for signing a reality TV contract. People are booing Hump because he is both dumb and lucky.
But that’s okay because he loves it. He is getting more attention than he ever has before, that’s why he signed up for the reality show and signed up for keeping Kim’s bed warm, which isn’t a bad perk of the job.
