For Armor Strategy, A Good Start
Normally, training camp invites go to a variety of players, a couple from the summer league roster, a player who the Nets liked but went undrafted, a good D-League player. But with the shortened camp, and the Nets having their own D-League team, inviting three Armor players was a no-brainer.
Ben Couch looks at Dennis Horner, Jerry Smith and JamesOn Curry and how their time in camp is a positive for the Nets' development strategy. The Nets got three players familiar with their playbook, game sets, jargon and the Armor got added confidence for their three best players. Horner, of course, is still around. He's played well, and on Friday, the Nets told him he had made the club.

I wouldn't be surprized to see them both cut
Horner won’t get playing time anyway behind Hump, Memo, Petro, SheWill, and when he returns, J-Will. At least in the D-League, he’ll continue to develop while being ready to be called up at any time for the Nets.
Horner outplayed J-Will in camp
"It's as sweet as it ever was, I'll tell you. Now, hopefully, we started something and we can win some more championships, but we're going to enjoy this one right now. Have a little champagne." --Julius Erving, May 12, 1976, ABA champion Nets locker room.
Springfield Bound!
I think JWILL and MarShon should be sent to Spingfield. MarShon should be given the starting 2 job, and let play 30 minutes a game. JWILL should be the first big off the bench.
