"Oh no! No Dwight!"

A lot of people are looking at the injury to Lopez this way. I am looking at it that way as well. However, dwight isn't going to be traded until march (most likely). With lopez and williams we were going to fight for a playoff spot and probably make the playoffs. Then, we could trade for Howard and be contenders. Now, if we can just stay somewhat competitive and go maybe 10-20 come March that wouldn't be too bad. I think deron would obviously understand that he can't control the injury and possibly resign with us even if we do have a bad season. We have to hope Brook can have a speedy recovery and return when he's most healthy so this team can prove that we are going in the right direction headed to Brooklyn.

On the Dwight Howard front, the best we can hope for is that Orlando keeps him and they let him become a free agent. The Lakers are now the frontrunners to land him because they don't have to offer Gasol and Bynum. But would the Magic trade for Bynum because everyone around the league knows of his injury history. In addition, would Howard even sign long-term their? His first option is Brooklyn with Deron. Playing in LA would be great for him but he would never be "the man" and he'd just be following in Shaq's footsteps. Dwight also wants to be the face of a franchise and with Kobe their, that isn't happening. If Dwight and Deron have a plan to play together in the near future this injury prevents it from happening soon. But if Dwight and Deron have their hearts set on playing together in BK, it will happen!

Let's all hope Brook has a speedy and healthy recovery!
