The signing of Kris Humphries should help the Nets solve their power forward problem, but now they're waiting to see when Shawne Williams might be able to take the court on the other side of the front court. Williams has been laid low by the flu and unless he gets better soon, he's unlikely for the season opener.
"We’ll have to see," Avery Johnson said. "I’m not sure if we’ll get him back Thursday, which would be at the earliest, that he’d be ready for a game given that we only have two, three or four practices left based on our schedule. That’d be pretty adventurous."
