After the pent-up demand for basketball news was released in a flood the last few days, NBA types expect things to calm down Friday, and here's why: Starting at noon, the players and owners will get together in New York to talk about the "B" issues, things like the age limit for draftees; drug testing; new D-League rules possibly including medical rehab assignments, etc. etc.
As David Aldridge tweeted Friday morning, "Please understand for now: NO ONE is going to make a FA, trade, or amnesty decision in the next 24-48 hours. Everyone waiting to see the final CBA details first". As for the Nets, word is that they want to deal with the "bigs" on their wish list first, then move on to the wings.
