Hoping this is not just speculation... however the source John Ireland who is a big lakers insider says the trade is done. Plus his source got all the Heat's additions right last year? Hope it's still only Brook and the 2 first round picks. Don't want to lose Damion James or Morrow I think there gonna have big years.

I agree I would like to keep James and Morrow. Rather have Morrow than James. I think at SF when Wilson Chandler comes back we could sign him to a multi-year contract that would be awesome. D12 has been my favorite player since the day he entered this league so I’m super super excited! I know I shouldn’t be getting my hopes up but I I can’t help it. I really hope you are right! Have my fingers crossed!

okay sorry I overreacted big time there....
But as I was saying…. I do agree that I would like to keep both DJames and Morrow but I would rather keep Morrow (for the long term). He and Swag can be a solid SG duo and I think the Nets have a legit shot to sign Chandler especially since the Nuggs inked Nene and appear to be on the verge of signing Afflalo to a 5 year deal. Chandler would be a great investment if they do sign him. He’s only 24 and can play both offense and defense well. Haven’t seen this anywhere else but it is fairly recent and Rotoworld is a legit source as is a radio show on ESPN LA. Hope your right!

FYI: I was told tonight by a reliable source in NJ that bubbling rumors of a @DwightHoward-to-Nets deal is dead for time being. Stay tuned!!

I think Ireland is more reliable than denton. I’ve actually heard of ireland before and now that i look into it im seeing several places with D12 to us tomorrow and nowhere with this denton guy….. fingers crossed

The deal is dead and is basically saying there were never even talks. I’d rather trust Ireland but I’m lost once again. It seems plausible given Dwight’s performance and comments from teammates about how this is starting to become a problem.
Let's say it's a straight two-team deal
Only way it goes down (I’m thinking anyway) is if we take back Duhon & Turkoglu AND send them: Brook, @blackboipachino, Farmar, D.James, Bogdonovic’s rights, both 2012 picks, 2014 pick & maybe even 2016 pick or 2-3 second rounders + $3M.
You still gotta do that deal but are Deron & Dwight good enough to offset Shawne Williams or Marshon being the 3rd best player on the team? I think if that deal happens they both leave after this year

Why would they leave? They’re both intrigued by Brooklyn, money, and winning and the Nets provide all three. Next year, teams will be dying to sign here for the minimum. That’s how we fill out the roster.
And it would be a 3 or 4 team deal anyway.

I can’t get excited over this. It’s only December 19th and I have a feeling we will be hearing this drama for a couple months…

I think he’s going to go to the mat to try to get this done before Christmas. I’ll be there opening night in DC. If it happens, it’ll DEFINITELY make the trip worth it. If it doesn’t happen, we re-sign Hump and sign Arenas (DID I JUST SAY THAT????) At a DRASTICALLY reduced rate, I think he’s worth a shot. I’d deal with the Shawne/James combo for a bit and try to hold off until Wilson Chandler can come back. He’d be a nice third option for this team.

Of course I forgot that Hedo would almost certainly be in a deal so the chances are probably slim that would happen.

Haven’t seen it anywhere else but Bleacher Report. Rotoworld had it on top news but then took it down and the NetsDaily twitter account says the rumor is crap. The wait for Dwight continues….
Today is Dwight day?
If this only turned out to be true. If this happens today, December 20th will go down in history as the day that the NETS took their first steps towards a championship.
