Despite having its four best scorers in NBA training camps --three with the Nets and one with the Trail Blazers-- the Armor won their fourth straight. It was the first time the Armor has ever won four straight in its two-plus years of existence. They are also 5-1 and lead the D-League's Eastern Conference.
The win, over the Knicks' hybrid affiliate Erie BayHawks, featured another outstanding shooting display by Lance Hurdle, The 6'2" guard scored 31. Since the Armor's top scorers departed, Hurdle is averaging 28.7 ppg. The Armor had been off for nearly a week, giving coach Bob MacKinnon and assistant Chris Carawell the opportunity to work with the Nets staff at the PNY Center between games.
