Howard: "Trade Me or Lose Me"

Photo

In an updated version of his story on the collapse of the Dwight Howard talks, Adrian Wojnarowski writes that Dwight Howard has warned the Magic that unless they trade him, they will lose him for nothing, in effect reminding the franchise of what happened 15 years ago when Shaquille O'Neal left Orlando without compensation.

"Howard has warned the Magic if they don’t move him by the March 15 trade deadline, they’ll lose him for nothing in free agency," wrote Woj. "Howard told the Magic again on Wednesday that he wanted a trade, a league source said". Woj quoted a source as saying, "Dwight’s not a happy camper."

Apparently, the Nets offer was rejected by Magic ownership.

Woj also added details on the Nets offer. New Jersey would have sent Brook Lopez, Gerald Wallace, Jordan Farmar and a first-round draft pick to Orlando. The Nets also would have taken on Chris Duhon and Hedo Turkoglu. The Blazers would have received four draft picks for Wallace. Sam Amick said that Johan Petro was also headed for Orlando.

While the Nets and Magic could open talks again, time is of the essence. The Nets must starting adding to their roster...and their cap space...in the next few days and make a decision on waiving Travis Outlaw. Already, Ken Berger tweets, the Nets have begun talking to Kris Humphries.

HAVE YOU READ CP3 got traded to Clips now the lakers must be scared and turn to HOWARD

and leav us with fingers on our mouth with gasol and bynom offer man im so scared right now

by Arian Sh on Dec 14, 2011 7:46 PM EST up reply actions

So What's The Next Move(s)?

I think they have to go ahead and amnesty Outlaw, right? Given this information, at least it appears as though a trade of Howard is imminent. It’s hard to imagine the Magic getting a better deal than that. Do you guys think Bynum + Pau trumps this proposed package?

by SlappyWilson on Dec 14, 2011 5:23 PM EST reply actions

Do you guys think Bynum + Pau trumps this proposed package?

Ask Otis Smith. Ask Mitch Kupchak.

If it was me? I’d take the Lakers offer. Talent over cap space any day of the week. Teams usually rebuild as a last resort.

by -Seiti- on Dec 14, 2011 5:31 PM EST up reply actions

Old?

Guys like Gasol tend to age very well and Bynum… well, he’s a better player than Brook even when he’s hurt.

Oh pissing blimey there's jam coming out of the walls!

by TWilliAM on Dec 14, 2011 5:33 PM EST up reply actions

disagree with that second second statemen

bynum doesnt put up 20 a game consistently. And i know lopez has the ability to rebound, he was just running to the offensive end more so he couldnt grab the booards. but he’s huge and can rebound the ball

plus lopez is younger, cheaper, not injury prone, and is a classy gentlemen. bynum is classless (ask jj barea)

by Prash Ramani on Dec 14, 2011 5:35 PM EST up reply actions

I might take Lopez over one of them

over Bynum because of his injuries
and over Gasol because of his age

But you would be a fool to choose Lopez over both of them

by bettacalltyrone on Dec 14, 2011 5:36 PM EST up reply actions

You can disagree

But that doesn’t mean Otis Smith does… and he’s the only one that matters.

Age obviously isn't an issue

They jus resigned J-Rich.

I like Brook i really do but alot of fans are being homers with how good he really is or can be.

Gasol really is indicative of Lopez ceiling. And Bynum when healthy is the closest thing to dwight there is in the league.

by bettacalltyrone on Dec 14, 2011 5:35 PM EST up reply actions

This is not a deal about equivalent talent as much...

as it is about allowing for flexibility and the chance to reboot on the fly. Gasol is 31 and a softer player than Lopez. Bynum is injured frequently, though arguably the best two-way player of the three bigs. The difference is Orlando takes on $33MM of salary with just those two guys, gets drastically older and has to move Hedo plus someone else to bring the deal into financial parameters allowed under the CBA. D-12 and Hedo are at $27MM for this season. Factor in the dip in production from both Pau and Bynum compared to what they did in LA, the lack of reliability from both compared to Lopez, the amount of money that stays on their books and the absence of decent draft picks coming back, if any at all, and it is abundantly clear that LA’s best offer does very little for Orlando two years after this trade. Lopez is cheap, has NEVER MISSED A GAME (despite mononucleosis summer of 2010 and calcium deposits in his shoulder), shoots 80% from the free throw line and is a 20 ppg scorer. If I have to lose the best big in the game, I at least want to get back someone who is cheap, has tremendous upside (and demonstrated it) and PLAYS every game.

Yeah

We just don’t know.

I’ve said this a thousand times, but it bears repeating… this is no longer in BK’s hands. If the Lakers offer Pau/Bynum and the Magic accept, there is literally nothing the Nets can do. The Nets don’t have the artillery to match those assets.

And if that happens, it’s the second biggest disaster in franchise history.

is simply to maintain pressure to keep increasing the assets provided. This latest offer, if accurate, is far more than B-King first floated to Otis, if you will recall.

but I don’t believe it has been reached and, I suspect, nor does Otis. I am sure that B-King has already started sussing out ways to get an extra draft pick or trade exception (or both) to the Magic. The best news, as others have aptly noted, is Howard has clearly stated he wants to be traded to NJ and he will not contemplate staying with the Magic beyond this season, if forced to play this year in Orlando. Nets chances of landing D-12 are looking better than ever, now.

So Howard is doing his part, he gonna have to get traded I would think

by mjf900 on Dec 14, 2011 5:29 PM EST reply actions

I'd guess they may get even better offers

Seems like the Lakers are the largest threat. Don’t know how acquiring Paul would impact Net’s pursuit of Howard. I’d think that would cost the Lakers the assets they need to get D12. But it’s possible Orlando has been hoodwinked into believing that Bynum is better than Lopez – which I just don’t understand.

Denver purportedly got a better deal from the Knicks by holding onto Melo for as long as possible. But truthfully, I don’t think Denver really did themselves any favors (pun intended) by not taking the Nets offer. They wound up with Gallinari and a bunch of role players.

by SlappyWilson on Dec 14, 2011 5:29 PM EST reply actions

I personally prefer Bynum to Lopez

but it’s the ancillary parts to the Nets offer that trumps the Lakers. And I don’t like Bynum and Gasol because of Gasol’s contract. And just Bynum? Lakers would have to get many draft picks from somewhere for me to consider it. That means they would have to trade Pau to a third team that has a lot of draft picks to send Orlando’s way.

2010-2011 = acquire an All-Star via cap space as Thorn himself said
2011-2012 = make the playoffs without hindering future flexibility
2012 off-season = sign the second All-Star
2012-2013 = make a run for the championship

Mission accomplished thus far.

I'll post it again here, but Billy HAS to come up with a better offer for Orlando. It wasn't good enough and I agree.

This "shut down" is just a threat I think, or at least a way of removing the cloud of these trades from the team during camp. Hell, Otis came out today after the "shut down" and said he’d be talking to all teams still but that it didn’t mean anything can move.

Add to that, Dwight himself asked for a trade again today (per Woj) and was very unhappy that it didn’t go down.

So that said, we need to do better. All Orlando was getting for the #2 star in the league was Brook Lopez + Gerald Wallace + ONE first round pick. Portland was the team getting 4 to convince them to send GW to ORL.

Billy has to do better and has to do better by Friday. A fourth team involving someone, a better "star" than Lopez for Orlando, something.

That it is

But in this age of sports media we like to judge players on the “what have you done for me lately” scale. Lopez’s rebounding from last season is getting him judged as a flawed player. Brook Lopez is not lacking on talent, and unfortunately because of the team he plays for he’s being constantly dismissed with most mainstream media. I just wish people would take a closer look.

by SamsHops on Dec 14, 2011 5:57 PM EST up reply actions

Don't you think that if Orlando wanted the picks...

they would have gotten them instead of Gerald Wallace? They evidently asked for Wallace and Portland, happy to do its part to keep D-12 out of its conference, made Wallace available. Otis is the one regulating these negotiations. The problem is, he is standing on shifting sands, as in those in an hourglass and his time is running out, rapidly.

It seems like its on Dwight to really get this kick started. No more telling people through back channels and then changing your stance in public. Pick a stance and DECLARE IT DWIGHT! Do you want to be traded or not?!

Were really stuck here because we need to make moves by Friday to at least field a team to get their butts kicked in MSG on Saturday.

If we go and sign Hump and Williams and/or Landry even to 1 year deals and then Orlando comes and says to us they’re ready to deal, we’re in trouble since the guys we will have just signed cannot be traded til July 1!

by TheRAB on Dec 14, 2011 5:30 PM EST reply actions

I would be willing to bet next month's rent...

that D-12 has made it clear to Otis that he wants to be traded and will not return, prior to all this silliness. The problem is Otis is taking a page out of Ujiri’s playbook by dragging his feet and doing anything he can think of to extort as much from a final trade partner as he possibly can. Unlike last year, though, we know the Nets ARE D-12’s first choice and he will not sign an extension with the Magic, no matter what. I am becoming convinced that the only reason Otis has not been fired after the last few years of GM futility in Orlando is because management wants Otis to take the brunt of the blame for losing him. Recall that D-12 stated he was disappointed/unhappy with the lack of input he felt he had regarding bringing in players and pieces to get the Magic a championship. D-Will has told D-12 that B-King listens to D-Will and follows through on his suggestions.

Dwight needs to get paid, only way to get the best deal is to be dealt before January. I don’t see why he would pressure them from Jan 2 to March 15. He is better off letting his new team keep their assets.

Question about 1 year deals..

If we signed say RJ and HUMP to one year deals, would we still have enough space to make the Dwight trade mid season and take back Hedo?

RJ cannot be traded

amnestied players picked up by other teams cannot be traded during the season.

what's going on, nets fans

yeah, i’m a knicks fan, i know, i know…but i just want to be reasonable for a second and say that i hope this nonsense gets resolved sooner rather than later. i’d rather have an intense rivalry in the nyc area than another melodrama like last year, even if it doesn’t involve my team.

so yeah, if he’s asking for it, go get dwight now, billy king! it’d be a great thing for your franchise, as well as a favor to NBA fans everywhere who are as tired of all of this speculation nonsense as you must be. it’s almost as if this league is only as entertaining as the next mega trade, if you listen to the major news outlets.

any team that has a chance at beating miami or boston is a good thing in my mind, even if i’d be completely against you guys when we face up.

My goodness me!

I would be delirious if we could get both Dwight and Brook. However, I don’t think Magic ownership is so stupid as to forego the chance to restock the larder, as it were. Worst case scenario, the Magic make the trade by the March 15 deadline. From a business perspective, they reap the benefits of D-12’s presence in their lineup for 3/4 of the season and then switch to bragging about how they are building for the future. Now that D-12 has said he will not sign an extension, they no longer need to worry about his ability to get an extra year with his next team.

Utah FO vs. Orlando FO

One doesn’t even need their superstar to say a word before they know he’s gonna leave while the other had their superstar PUBLICLY request a trade due to his unhappiness and still think they can keep him.

I get it if they want more for Dwight, but calling off trade discussions and being stubborn like this will get them NOWHERE.

Well boys, you wanted Dwight to force his way here, and now he finally has

Let’s be honest: I know it says March 15th in the article, but does anyone really think Dwight and Fegan will let this go past the end of the month? Now that this has gotten out to the public, they either have to trade him here, or lose him for nothing. Why else do you think BK stayed silent? I think he was told by Deron. I think Dwight told Deron he’d do this, and that Deron informed BK. All BK has to do now is come up with an improved offer, and he’s ours. Told you.

What athlete will willingly give up money?

What can the Magic do? They know he’s a goner after the season. They also know the offer at the deadline will be reduced. They know if they take the offer now, Dwight gets his money, and they get the best package available, because the Lakers have already stated they aren’t giving up both Bynum and Gasol.

If King felt that all it would take for Deron to be happy would be Caron and Nene you don’t think we wouldn’t overpay them??

King is consulting Deron right now. Deron is obviously cool with this. Believe that the reason we are chasing Dwight like this is because of Deron. This is for him. So if King is willing to go through all of this for Deron you don’t think he would sign Butler and Nene if that’s all it took???

I haven't been on NetsDaily for a couple of days because I was too pissed that BK hadn't signed Nene.

Now I just read on NBATV that Denver re-signed Nene.

Once again a top FA doesn’t want to come to Nets. Really Pathetic,

Now the Nets are really screwed because any FAs Nets sign take away from cap space and also can’t be used towards signing Howard.

Howard ORL has no intention of trading Howard until the March 15 deadline. That has been obvious for almost 1 week.

Therefore Nets are SCREWED Royally.

Nets now have to overpay for 2nd rate FAs, which will in turn hurt the chances to get Howard in March.

by jerry25 on Dec 14, 2011 7:06 PM EST reply actions

Your concerned that NENE didn't want to sign here?

Dwight wants to be here. Dwill wants to be here. That’s all that matters. Everyone knows nene wouldn’t make much of a difference in regrads to us competitng for a title. So who cares that he signed with denver…

by Tim823 on Dec 14, 2011 7:06 PM EST reply actions

our best bet – this all pushes off to the all star break, bynum gets injured and Lopez puts up 23 & 8. I’m pretty sure the more we wait, the better our pick + the more value Lopez will have and Bynum will lose. Since there’s no more triangle, Bynum’s only points will come off rebounds and whatnot. The offense will be centered on kobe isolations and Pau post ups.

Not good

Magic will now demand a haul as large or larger then what Clips gave up to get Paul and there is no way we can compete with that. Lakers will get Dwight only if they give up Gasol and Bynum I think but will they do that? Magic need to act now cause deal will only get worse as time passes. This could make the Howard trade happen now since Clips kinda just set the market. Lets see what BK and do and hopefully land us Dwight! Kinda wish Dwight started holding out of training camp until Orlando trade him to Nets! If he took that stance I think Otis would do the trade…why not they do it in the NFL all the time!

by EHawk1 on Dec 14, 2011 7:07 PM EST reply actions

Obviously, Orl is just fishing for better offer. Maybe if he threatens hem he wont play/practice with them, theyll be forced too.

Dont care how many Orl fans will hate him. Lebron had more enemies.. :) Besides, NETS fans will replace ’em… I say global fans!

I haven’t been following for 2 days.

The Nets 64 million over 4 years is better than 66 million over 5 years.

Lakers made clippers give up Gordon by joining the talks. They still have Bynum and Gasol, but now with Clippers getting better, Lakers are forced now to get Dwight. Which means Bynum and Gasol are expendable. I really don’t think the Nets can compare to the Lakers offer.

Hornets did the classic rebuild move

Draft picks, young players, and flexibility.

Orlando wants to continue and try to win (which they won’t) and be mediocre for the next 4 years.

At this point, sign 1 year deals and try and put together something next year and get a good draft pick. That’s really about it.

Dwight will be headed to LA I’m pretty sure.

I will argue the nets over 3 teams who made the playoffs last year:

Philly
Bucks
Indiana

Deron is better than every player on those teams. Lopez is better than 98% of them. Not to mention, BK will bring in at least 2 more players to help the roster.

by aug93 on Dec 14, 2011 7:38 PM EST reply actions

Indiana is deep with young unproven talent...

Dwill far superior than every player. Lopez is better than every player. Morrow is a better shooter than every player. I would argue that farmar is a better PG than their starting PG. Now that Nene's gone... any other alternatives to Dwight.

I’d like to point at Dirk’s team, which just showed that you don’t need superstars.

The problem is right now we have no one who is even decent besides our guards. Seriously: the only non-guard who is any good is Brook.

Long shot

But say we give up on the Dwight dream, I like Afflalo alot. Offer as much as possible, hope Denver doesn’t match (although with Nene back, unlikely I guess). Hope Lopez’s off-season work with Hakeem pays off and rebound weakness reaaly was due to mono and re-sign Hump. Don’t think it’s a terrible team with Deron at the point, Morrow at SG, Lopez at C, Afflalo at SF and Hump at PF, especially if Marshon plays well off the bench. But seems like Denver will match any offer Afflalo gets

The Lakers were never getting Paul anyway

they were trying to get him for Gasol, the NBA was not going to trade CP3 to LA for a package centered around Gasol or whatever pieces Gasol could net them in a 3 way trade.

I don’t see how CP3 going to the Clips really changes anything. The Lakers were not getting Paul anyway. No way, no how.

The great myth in the Bynum Lopez debate

For Lopez:

13-8
19-8
20-6

And most important 82 games

Bynum the last 3 years:

14-8
15-8
11-9

50, 65, 54 games played…

His numbers barely touch lopez’s and that’s including his BS “breakout year” before the Pau trade (14-8). So much hype, little substance.

by TheMo on Dec 14, 2011 7:50 PM EST reply actions   2 recs

remember that Bynum is in his 6th year in the league…

by TheMo on Dec 14, 2011 7:51 PM EST up reply actions

Oh sorry

Whoops did you mean minutes per game?

Bynum
28-30-27

Lopez
30-37-35

by TheMo on Dec 14, 2011 8:12 PM EST up reply actions

If

Bynum is this monster that everyone is claiming why would the lakers not play him more?

Either he isn’t or he has more propensity to get hurt. Both reasons make him less valuable IMHO

by TheMo on Dec 14, 2011 8:13 PM EST up reply actions

It's the hypocrisy that gets me.

First people argue that Lopez >>>>>>> Bynum.

Then they say Bynum + Gasol is enough to get Dwight.

I guess Gasol = Michael Jordan.

2010-2011 = acquire an All-Star via cap space as Thorn himself said
2011-2012 = make the playoffs without hindering future flexibility
2012 off-season = sign the second All-Star
2012-2013 = make a run for the championship

Mission accomplished thus far.

by BigTom on Dec 14, 2011 7:50 PM EST reply actions

the problem is most of the NBA doesn't think Lopez is better than Bynum

that see Bynum as the superior. add another all-star big to that? I fail to see how this isn’t a better offer, and it’s most likely gonna come down to what deal Otis likes better.

by sheepareevil on Dec 14, 2011 8:07 PM EST up reply actions

Absolutely. BK isn't Melo.

He has to care what fans think as well as Proky. Everyone (DWill, Dwight) was putting pressure on BK to sign Howard or else.

What I DON’t know is whether BK WAS trying to get Nene to sign, but Nene really was just trying to use the Nets to get Denver to up their offer.

Noone has answered that question. It wouldn’t be BK’s fault if Nene was never going to sign as long as Denver increased their offer.

by NJNETS13 on Dec 14, 2011 8:14 PM EST up reply actions

IMO

I think as Legler said ealier today… If Dwight wants a chance (because it’s not really guaranteed), to win now then maybe he chooses the Lakers. But the move to Brooklyn and chance of playing with his boy D-will who is younger and BK adding nice young pieces to go along with those 2 really entices him. Not to mention of course as we all know a brand new billion dollar arena in which DH12 will headline and make bank $$$… I tend to believe he ultimately prefers the Nets over the Lakers even though LA will always be a city in which players are intrigued by!

Nets have no team and if BK starts signing FAs he loses flexibility.

Simmons is such a tool, he then flip flops and talks about Orlando’s decent situation. If I was ORL, I would wait until the trade deadline and get Clippers to trade Griffin for Howard.

I know that Clippers say they won’t trade Griffin, but he isn’t a ROBOT like Howard.
Howard > Griffin and will be for at least 5 more years.

Then Howard will get his wish if being with CP3.

ORL will be able to explore more options closer to the trade deadline.
And as soon as Nets start signing FAs, some of their flexibility goes away.

Dwight will be a net.

He wants to come to Jersey. He’ll end where he wants eventually Lakers ain’t that likely or attractive for Dwight. Can’t even be 100% he’d sign there without Paul. With the shaq thing and an aging Kobe. He likely would but still. Also do orl want to lose to the lakers again. Dwight is not likely to make free agency but if he does I’d be happy forget the mavs right now they don’t have space. Lakers have no space in free agency/.

Deron is already here and getting sold on the franchise every day by management. Young Lopez is better then old Dirk and of course we have space for two max deals and can work with Lopez’ cap hold to add more pieces which will want to play here. Mavs cannot as their space would be gone with three max not that they have the space, we could go over cap for Lopez. Mavs are not a threat. If Dwighth its free agency hes a net.

Only concern is if he might get traded to the lakers but like we saw with Melo he’ll probably go the prefered destination. Doesn’t seem like Lakers are upping the offer anyway. Dwight will be a net and it would be even better if it was through free agency. Knowing what we now know the Dwight want us no. 1 its a shame the lockout didn’t last the season which I had already hoped for like others.

Kobe's anger

makes sense he’s annoyed. giving up odom for nada. the possibility that the team may give up both Pau and Bynum for Dwight makes the team weaker. Would probably take another year to find the right pieces to become championship contenders. His legs are getting any younger.

Kobe is pissed for one reason though…Lakers are trying to rebuild on the fly at his expense.

by Versifiervt on Dec 14, 2011 8:23 PM EST reply actions

Dwight Howard is NOT going to the Lakers and here is why....
  • Lets start out by saying the Lakers are NOT going to offer Pau AND Bynum especially with Kobe around and is already not happy with the “Odom” trade. He likes Pau and Bynum.
  • Kobe does NOT like star players who could be bigger then him aka Shaq…Kobe would be VERY unhappy and you could have the same stuff that went on with him and Shaq (another reason why they would rather have CP3 then Dwight)
  • Would the Lakers really give up all three (Odom,Gasol,Bynum) of their big-men for just one even though it’s Howard
  • I believe Dwight doesn’t want to really go to the Lakers (also put in Chicago/Dallas) for multiple reasons
    1) He wants his own team and own legacy, it still would be "kobe’s"team and their legacy is a mile long already
    2) I really believe he wants to play with a top pg like Deron or CP3 (this is why LAL and Dal were on his list, just in case LA got CP3 or at the end of the year if Deron goes to Dallas)
  • Last and most important is….Dwight wants Brooklyn…He has the big market, a new team moving to a new stadium with no former superstar (Orlando had Shaq before him and Deron already said it himself that he’s just "one of the guys), gets to play with an allstar PG in Deron, would be the face of a franchise and all-time legend if he wins here (just look at Messier with the Rangers), with Proky he would probably be an even bigger star overseas then he is now and would have great input on all team decisions.

It’s really all up to Dwight…The Nets did their part, Deron, BK and Proky are all doing their part but now it’s time for Dwight to say NETS or NOBODY!!!! Be a Melo Dwight and demand Nets because I know you want to be here!!!

by gambi99 on Dec 14, 2011 8:23 PM EST reply actions

the problem is its not all up to Dwight

ownership has the last call which deal they accept

by sheepareevil on Dec 14, 2011 8:25 PM EST up reply actions

it is up to Dwight...all he has to do is say, like Melo did, I will ONLY sign an extension with Nets...it would eliminate all other teams...then it comes down to taking our offer or losing him for NOTHING in the offseason

This is why it’s so important to keep that cap space going into next yeart (1yr deals ONLY). Then he WOULD have all the leverage like Lebron had when he left Cleveland, like Bosh had when he left Toronto and same goes for Wade.

by gambi99 on Dec 14, 2011 9:13 PM EST up reply actions

I think another wester conference team

Will help Billy out and sweeten the D-12 deal honestly. If Billy can get a good pice with Dwight picks and taking on contracts will be a hell of a trade.

The reason Outlaw will be Amnestied is that::

1. Outlaw is still recovering from surgery and couldn’t play anyway.

2. Nets will always need the cap space for free agency and future trades up to the deadline.

3. Any of a number of players would be better than Outlaw, including RJ who the Nets could bid for.

just a thought but

I think Lakers are in win-now mode seeing as how Kobe is getting older each year. Trading away both Gasol and Bynum would be great for the future, but it would suggest that they are taking a step back, at least for this year. I think for the Lakers, each year has to be important.

I think that’s why Kobe was unhappy with the Odom trade. The chemistry has been there for the Lakers team for the past few years and I don’t think he wants to lose all of the big men the Lakers had on a championship contender team for one big man. Although the Lakers management traded away Odom without consulting Kobe, I think he has given management a hint that he wants to keep Pau and Bynum. If this is the case, then I don’t think they are pursuing Dwight as much as we are all believing they are.

i don't think D-Will + Howard + Morrow + Lower Level Exception + Mid-Level Exception

wins any titles against the likes of Miami or even the Knicks.

We are leaving ourselves no real way to add on.

Wish we would have signed Nene and a 2 and/or 3 when the getting was good.

all you have to surround that team with are

set shooters and guys that play SOLID defense

the Magic put set shooters around him.

out in the first round last year.

I think we’d be good, but second round, maybe E.C. finals bound every year.

they didnt have Deron...

Deron is a FLOOR GENERAL, a real leader.

yep...

that’s why instead of a first or second round team, they’d be a second or third round team

in another era, D-Will and Dwight may have been enough… but with the concentration of talent on a few other teams, i doubt they will be enough now.

You real Wade, Bron, Bosh didn’t win any titles against the likes of the Mavs. But now in year 2 of the experiment, they added Battier. If you build it, they will come.

The Heat had 3 All Stars (2 of whom I contend are better than Dwight and D-Will)

AND somehow convinced Haslem to leave a pile of money on the table to come back.

AND didn’t have terrible contracts like Chris Duhon and Hedo Turkoglu taking up their extra cash.

The Heat were a better and deeper team than I think we would be, and had much more flexibility.

If making the Finals was failing

this team should have been contracted along time ago. Rome was never built in a day, and its a team game, 5-5 if I’m not mistaken.

Dwight or Bust
Nets lose 33+ games this season.

Dwight-O-Rama

He should just say “Trade me before Opening Day to the Nets”!
