Now that our safety net (Nene) is gone, and Orlando playing hard to get, what if we can't get Howard from them before the season starts and this cloud surrounds us all season?

Obviously D-Will wants D12 and would rather them gamble on that then sign Nene, but to me, Nene having the same agent as D12 and still being a free agent all this time was like a safety net for us to fall into in case we couldn't get Dwight. But now that Nene is gone, the fear of not getting Dwight is horrifying right now. Especially after Dallas went out and not only added depth to their team to replace the pieces they lost, they positioned themselves perfectly in case the Nets and Orlando mess this up and Dwight and Deron leave.

Is there any chance we actually land Dwight before the season starts or by the deadline OR better yet, at all?
