In light of all that has happened since, and what else might be about to happen, the Salt Lake media asked Jazz GM Kevin O'Connor to "revisit" his thinking about trading Deron Williams to Nets last February.
No regrets was O'Connor's basic message. He said that while D-Will had not demanded a trade, he felt it was a foregone conclusion that he would...and soon.
"When I looked at it I just felt like the number of games that would be played before some kind of possible public announcement was about 20 or 25, at most," O'Connor said. And then with the lockout to the trading deadline, how many games it possibly could be, as an example. We just felt that we were in a situation where we could get something that we could build on."
