"Shw" is the abbreviation the NBA uses to distinquish Shawne Williams from Shelden "Shl" Williams in boxscores when the they've played against each other. Nets might be using both those abbreviations in boxscores every night. Al Iannazzone tweets that the Nets remain "very much in play" for the Knicks' three-point specialist.
The Knicks have been offering the 25-year-old Williams a one-year vets minimum valued at a little less than $1 million but could according to Iannazzone and Alan Hahn, dip into the $2.5 million mini-MLE to up the offer. Alan Hahn reports the Nets offer is multi-year. No details on how much or how long.
Williams is expected to decide Sunday.
