In a way, the Utah Jazz are sort of like the Brooklyn Nets benefactor, and they are my new 'other' team.
The Utah Jazz feel like they fleeced the Nets pretty good in the Deron Williams trade. In a way, they did. The Jazz are a small market team and small market teams have to build through the draft to survive, or continue on with Deron Williams and no help. They now have Alec Burks, Derrick Favors, Enes Kanter, along with Devin Harris and the rest of the team's vets (Okur/Jefferson/Miles among others), and they'll be joined most likely by a high lottery pick in 2012's stacked draft. The Utah Jazz fans have always stuck by their team and they will patiently wait for a young group to get better.
The Nets bet it all on Deron Williams- it was a move that we all agreed they had to do, to create excitement for the re-launch of NETS basketball.
So I'm hoping things work out for both the Nets and the Jazz this year.
Devin Harris made some pretty crazy shots in his time as a Net and I won't forget those soon- he's not a terrible player but he couldn't carry the team on his back here in Jersey. Favors vs. Cousins was a huge debate around NetsDaily so I'll probably always compare the two throughout their careers. Enes Kanter is going to be a big time player. (I haven't seen Burks, no idea what to expect). I think they made a good decision for their franchise and they helped out the Nets in the process. Go Jazz!
