In order to minimize travel during an abbreviated training camp, each NBA team is playing just two preseason games, a home-and-home set, with matchups determined geographically. That means it will be the Nets and Knicks at the Prudential Center and at Madison Square Garden.
The Knicks will carry a four-game preseason winning streak against the Nets when the two teams will play in Newark on Saturday, Dec. 17. The second meeting will be in New York on Wednesday, Dec. 21.
The regular season schedule will be announced on Tuesday at 7 p.m. on NBA TV.
