Gaines Plays 39 Minutes in Finale
Some European teams are requiring their American players to stay on until the CBA is ratified. B.C. Armia of Georgia may be one of them. Sundiata Gaines played 39 minutes, one short of a full game, in a EuroChallenge win over Gottingen of Germany Tuesday. He scored 10 points on 4-for-13 shooting, handing out six assists.
With the win, the Nets three point guards, Deron Williams, Jordan Farmar and Gaines, finished with a 40-5 record in European leagues and cups. One advantage for Gaines: the game was played 150 miles from Europe's busiest airport rather then Tbilisi on the eastern end of the Black Sea.

So you are saying his bags are packed and he is headed back to the USA from Berlin?
I was hoping that the Poland team would have made JWill play a couple of games.
Worth the low risk of injury to get some more competitive experience for JWill.
On the other hand, I’m glad DWill isn’t playing any more games.

He's not a Net at present, but AK47's agent says he should be fully recovered from shoulder injury by the start of free agency.
Nothing torn.
Maybe some teams will hesitate about using full MLE on AK47.
He's not keeping any salary from his stay with CSKA - giving to Russian charity.
So I see him back in the NBA with Nets’s his first choice (unless there really are hard feelings between him and DWill).
Check out China's Zhejiang Wanma Cyclones (J.R. Smith & Josh Boone)

J.R. Smith 33.0min, 46.4%FG, 50.0%FT, 3.0 reb, 1.7st, 0.3bs, 18.3 points
Josh Boone. 31.7min.. 71.7%FG, 60.0%FT, 8.7reb, 2.3st, 1.0bs, 25.0 points
Boone is scoring 25 points a game with 71% from the field and 60% from the free throw line. Save money from Nene and sign this free throw shooting wonder!

FYI, Josh Boone is player of the week
China is, supposedly, not releasing its NBA players such as the Nuggets’ Chandler, Martin and Smith. Who knows if Boone will come back for minimum? Forgot to add this:

Josh Boone claims CBA weekly honour – Nov 26, 2011 (by Eurobasket News)
American Josh Boone (208-F/C-84) had an amazing evening in the last round for Zhejiang C. and that’s him to receive a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 27-year old power forward had the game-high 40 points adding eight rebounds for Zhejiang C. in his team’s victory, helping them to beat Fujian XX (#14, 1-3) 113-98. Zhejiang C. is placed at 6th position in Chinese CBA. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost that single game earlier this season. Zhejiang C. will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. It’s Boone’s second year at Zhejiang C. and it’s hard to imagine this team without him.

Would Boone be able to get out of his Chinese contract (unlike the NBA players) to sign a Vet Min in say January?
Josh was living in NJ early in the summer, when he was spotted at a local movie theater.
Depending on what the PF/Center roster looks like, Josh wouldn’t complain being the #14 player on the Nets bench.
no.

it looks like Boone has found a home
Why would he want to come back to the NBA just to sit on the bench?

What is he getting paid?
Less than Vet Min, I presume.

OT Question
If Dwight makes it to FA, and we have the cap space for him, why would it have to be a sign and trade.
NI has been saying how the limits on contract length and anual raises for players who do S&T’s will make them lose upwards of 30-40million, but aren’t sign an trades only for when a team need to clear cap space when signing a FA.
Basically why couldn’t Dwight sign here with no S&T and still get a max contract?
by Barclays Center 2012 on Nov 29, 2011 9:05 PM EST reply actions
because max contracts, five years and 7.5% raises, only go to players
who sign with their old team. That’s my read of it.

So what would Dwight's contract look like
If he signed here with no S&T?
by Barclays Center 2012 on Nov 29, 2011 9:10 PM EST up reply actions
Right, yes
Which is determined based on the BRI
Section 18, Row 7 at The Rock!
"Your 2010-2011 New Jersey Nets - It Is What It Is"
So I'm not a math person but heres the best I can do
If he signs no S&T with anyone other than Magic he gets: $17.4mil per year, 4.5% increases ($783k raise per year) , for 4 years – Year 1 – $17.4
Year 2 – $18.183
Year 3 – $19.001
Year 4 – $19.856
= A total of $74.440 mil
If he signs via extend and trade: 3 years, 4.5% increases, $17.4 per year:
Year 1 -$17.4
Year 2 – $18.183
Year 3 – $19.001
= Total of $54.584 mil
If he stays in ORL: 7.5% raises, 5 years, $17.4 million per year:
Year 1 – $17.4
Year 2 – $18.705
Year 3 – $20.108
Year 4 – $21.616
Year 5 – $23.273
= A total of $101.102 mil
Bottom Line he loses $26.662 mil by signing with us as free agent in offseason with no S&T

Couls trade rondo n picks for Paul n then resign Davis and green then turn around and trade green Davis kg expiring contract and maybe Allen’s expiring also and take on Howard arenas and Turk? Right? I think that works

To be clearer, teams can start talking to agents on Wednesday about deals for players. No deals can be official until Dec. 9.

The most expensive free agent signing in Nets history
was Travis Outlaw.
Jayson Wiliams, Jason Kidd, Richard Jefferson, VInce Carter, (I think in that order) all re-signed with the team but in terms of the signing of a restricted or unrestricted free agent, Outlaw at $35 million is tops.
Williams contract at $104 million was the biggest ever. Kidd was next at $102 million.

It appears that Curtain Wall panels are going in nicely along Flatbush, but haven’t seen a recent view along Dean St.
