Will Nets Gather for Mini-Camp?
With lockout rules preventing teams from opening their gyms to players before December 9, players anxious to get started are texting and tweeting about gathering up for mini-camps.
Deron Williams, who's leaving Istanbul Friday, may have been trying to organize one when he asked two of his Net teammates in a tweet, "when yall shippin out?"
MarShon Brooks replied quickly, "I'm in jersey on Tuesday morning my man." Anthony Morrow said he'd be back in "Bout a week n a half."
D-Will organized the last team workout just before the lockout when he arranged for veterans and rookies to get customized training regimens at Peak Performance in Santa Barbara.

Deron is also a human being like we all are....
If he enjoys his teammates and surroundings, that might also factor heavily on him staying with us long term. This will be his team.
i can see what your trying to say here but i don't know if i agree 100 percent to your hypothesis
i do think that surroundings and most importantly TEAMMATES and how good they are will have a huge impact on DWill’s decision to stay with the Nets but is he really a human being? u mean to tell me that he eats “FOOD” AND!@!!!! needs at lesat 25-30 mins to digest it before going for a swim? that he SOLVES crossword puzzles but rolls his eyes in disbelief when the words don’t fit right?? that he COMBS his “hair” JUST to keep it fresh n’ neat? Does HE?
are you saying he's a vampire?

I'm just saying that all I been hearing...
is that he will only stay with the Nets if we get Dwight Howard otherwise he’s a goner.
There are probably more factors involved then that, some that we aren’t even aware of yet.
He's a leader because he took two seconds to send a tweet to two players?
If their was one thing this guy was knocked for in Utah it was not being that vocal leader they knew he could be. Hopefully that changes this year but it will take a lot more than a few tweets to do that. Also why is it taking Morrow 10 days to get back to NJ? You have something better to do? Not feeling that at all. Hopefully they get some type of camp together before the training camp because a few weeks of training camp and a shortened season spells disaster for teams like the Nets.

The only reason I see why it Morrow is taking 10 days to get to NJ is that he can’t use the facilities until December 9th. He might have a good gym over where he is now.

Or maybe he's trying to find a new home for his pet Goldfish "Ammo"...
Not really that important unless he was missing something that has been set up by Deron. I doubt players are going to risk injury at this point in informal workouts.
finding a gym aint that hard
that won’t be an issue.
Petro has been working out near the PNY center. Boki Nachbar is working out every day at the SportsClub/LA at Rockefeller Center.
There are high schools, colleges, etc.

He also set up the team workouts at P3, where each player received his own prescribed routine for the summer.
TWO workouts
one for the seven vets still under contract then another, two days before lockout for Brooks and J-WIll.
Morrow said he never spent as much time with his teammates as he did with the Nets, thanks to D-Will.
Both Lopez and Morrow are on the record talking about how Williams helped their confidence.

Poor reasoning, few facts leads to misconceptions

not for the team coming together
teams that are familair with each other will do fine in a shorter offseason, but teams like the nets should have some problems

Reason, Morrow needs to get into somewhat of decent shape in those 10 days before he heads to Jersey so that D Will doesnt beat his ass.

The Nets need another alpha male on this team. Kmart type. I dont know if thats Nene or Tyson Chandler or someone else but its needed.
Mario Elie will kick some butt in practice but I would like someone on the floor that dives into the crowd and isnt afraid to mix it up.
not a lot of them around
and who was the alpha males on the Mavs? the one who was like KMart?

They had 3 players actually 4 that stepped up and showed major heart and I am not even talking Dirk.
Kidd was steady and a leader even when his shot was off.
The lil backup pg barea? Think that’s it. He was huge! Dude showed major heart and left it on the floor, he got literally pounded when he was going down the lane but he didn’t stop!
Chandler was the most vocal on the court intimidating players in the paint with dunks blocks and a lot of energy and yelling.
Most of all was Terry who stepped up his defense but showed huge balls by telling everyone about his chamionship tattoo. That was like Babe Ruth pointing to the fences. Terry was the key factor and the ultimate Alpha male imo. He won that ring for Dallas by having such supreme confidence that it infected the entire team.
Not saying you have to be a vocal leader but just let everyone in the stands and on the team know u are leaving it all on the floor. This team doesn’t have that outside of Deron. Hump is a hustle player by nature see if he takes it to another level. Lopez needs to take another step forward as a leader.

no KMart type though
just smart vets who kept it under control.

Is anyone keeping up with the Besiktas schedule?
I imagine DWill is committed to playing at least until the Ratification vote.
Lets not forget Damion James. He wants DWill back too:
