The Man Who's Building Barclays
Bob Sanna is the man in charge of construction at the Barclays Center, a native Brooklynite who's also a City College grad. His resume' is filled with some of the borough's biggest projects but he's most proud of the arena. "There’s a special feeling in having a hand in building a sports and entertainment arena where memories are made and history happens in my native Brooklyn."
Now 60% complete, Barclays will be unique in that the court --aka the "event level"-- will be 25' below street level, something he says was Bruce Ratner's idea after climbing the "endless escalators" of Madison Square Garden. And although there's controversy about construction unions not getting as much of the arena towers work as once thought, the arena, says Sanna, is a "parade of 40 trades."

Nice story
I wonder how long before Oder & friends spew their rhetoric.

He already did
Here is what Oder had to say about the union dispute, and this is the real story, and not something from the bread and circus media that constantly bows down to him.

bows down to him?
are you for real?
said it before, will say it again: after it opens, no one will care about the protests.

Spare me the apathy
If you really think that many are apathetic to the opposition, then I suggest you read this.

"climbing the 'endless escalators'"
You know you’re overweight when standing still = climbing. All jokes aside, I think it’s a nice touch, having enjoyed it at Cowboys Stadium

I’m keeping track of the three local hockey teams attendance figures to see how the Barclays Center 14,500 seat capacity would work.
Congrats on the end of the lockout and hopefully you guys get off to a better start then the Isles. I’m ready to jump on the Nets bandwagon if the Isles move to Brooklyn.

These Brooklyn-Isles rumors were enough for me to pick them as my hockey team
