Help Billy out! 10 questions to be answered by 12/26

After 150 days of complete uncertainty, we now have so many questions that need to be answered after training camp and before Monday December 26, 2011 (likely, the day the nets open their season.) Here are 10 of them. Hopefully Billy stubles upon this.

**Feel free to fill in what you can with, speculation, opinion, definite answers, or even more questions!**

Star-divide

1.  Who's our starting PF on opening Night?
1A. Do we bring back K. Humph if hes not our starting PF? If so for how much?

2. Are we comfortable with Anthony morrow as our starting SG?

3. Who's our starting SF on opening Night?

4. Do we spend some of our cap on a big time big like Nene, T. chandler, and then pursue D12 next summer and drop lopez?

5. Is our bench filled with quality role players and at lease one starting material player(s) or simply a repeat of last years grahams and rookies?

6. Who are we going to sign to defend the likes of Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, Kobe Bryant, and Kevin Durant?

7. Who do we like sitting besides Avery Johnson on Gameday?
7a. Do we still have Sam Mitchell on opening Night?

8. How does Yormark go about promoting Brooklyn, while still granting New Jersey it's well deserved farewell?

9. Who is going to be our PA announcer on opening night?
9a. Who is going to replace Marco G?

1. a new player let hump go.. he has too much drama going on and doubt he’s going to b focused on basketball
2. im comfortable with morrow but not too comfortable with him at times.
3. probably a FA either ak47 or battier.
4. we probably will have to sign a solid player to make the pot sweeter for orlando in order to land d12. and if worst come to worst sign a starting pf like david west (gamble)
5. no need to go out and sign an all-star bench because if we fail in resigning dwill n gettin d12 were going to need cap to get them both in FA or CP3
6. Battier easy
7. Mitchell
8. promote all season long full of discounts and expose the players outside of basketball as much as possible
9. not a true issue for the organization
10. Haven’t heard his name other than him going on that tour. so i expect him to b in terrible shape smh..

i like your questions

but i’ll just answer the important one.

Yes, I think Kris Humphries is going to be back at a lower price than most think…i’d say 5-6 mil per year for this guy for whatever the length of the deal is.
*
No, I’m not comfortable with Anthony Morrow as our starting SG. He is a one dimensional player who can’t play D or do any damage anywhere else than 20 feet out….I like him as a 6th man but the nets need Marshon Brooks to surprise
Who cares about who starts at SF right now…the big win for the Nets would be to get rid of Outlaw
*
Ditto on the whole Nets game host thing..Marco G was HORRIBLE
Nets shouldn’t spend big this “off season” on big FA’s…unless they can get AK47
*
Brook Lopez is probably going to come in the same condition he was in last year minus the whole MONO thing…..I just don’t see him as an off season work horse

i feel like if we have a good and strong enough SF who can attack the paint then morrow's fine for the SG spot.

my answers just my opinion

1 im actually afraid of hump nd wut he’s been doing this offseason wit the whole divorce nd all that but if he’s still in the same shape as last season start him he played great in the games wit deron.
2. i am lol
3. ANYBODY BUT GRAHAM!!!!
4. pursue d12!!!!
5. just need to get rid of graham i cant emphasize that enough lol
6. i actually would like a player like deshawn stevenson some1 who would play defense nd talk trash to em while doing it this team needs a defensive trash talker
7. have me sitting next to avery we’ll go 82-0 they fear avery yelling at them how bout a fan/coach yelling at them genuinely passionately yelling at them to play hard wen they r playing like tissue paper.
8. win the championship in the final year in new jersey only way to go out lol
9. idk idc im one of the ppl that pays no mind to it but marco g did suck lol.

1. The situation Humphries been in I’d hope they don’t look to sign him so I’d say Nene, or Lopez starting meaning we’d have a big man signed to play alongside Lopez. Perhaps thats the better position for him, and Chandler is that man to fill the Center spot.

2. Yes, for now, but next year he can’t be a starter someone has to step up. Brooks, or we sign a starter / acquire by a trade.

3. Kirilenko

4. Get one of those guys, and see where that takes us. It might just be better if we stuck with that and added some pieces. If not Nene + Howard + Dwill is pretty damn good. Obviously theres trade scenarios, and all these other possibilities. But I who we bring in this season will determine whether we chase for Howard, other than that I think we have the best chance.

5. No more Vujacic, try to get rid of Farmar because 5mill for a bench PG is too much, and Petro can stay for now while our rookies try to step up I think our bench will do just fine.

6. Well hopefully by the time we’re in Brooklyn we’ll have Dwill signed, Kirilenko, and our PF and Center spot on lock. Then I’d look at the f.a pool from next year and get a defensive minded guy from there, if we have Dwight Howard imo Brooks/Morrow would suffice.

7. Keith Smart, and Mario Elie. In that order

8. Bring in your Nets season tickets, or game packages and get discounts on Brooklyn Nets merchandise. Or another way bring in your New Jersey nets merchandise and get discounts on BK things.

9. Hopefully a charismatic guy with a booming voice, not a girl, and or someone with a high pitched voice.

10. I chose slightly better, he should be getting his career high this season. Without all the excuses and a long offseason I think he’ll surprise people.

Let's see

1. The consensus is Denver is going to resign Nene. My opinion is West does not fit next to Lopez. He does however fit next to Howard but it seems presumptuous to commit big money to a guy who may look like Brand does now in the near future. There will be amnesty options, but I think that with the mininum salary floor at 85%, that most teams in a weak free agent market will put the amnesty provision in their back pocket until the 2012 class hits. Humphries is the favorite barring a trade.

2. Morrow is going to more effective this year than ever with a point guard like Williams. Williams knows when to hit guys with the pass so that their feet are set and the shot is a good one. Morrow and Williams showed very good chemistry in just a few games last year. But there are games when a shooter won’t make shots, so then it comes down to Brooks. A free agent is possible but if not I think we are in good shape.

3. Money here is on Prince. Kirilenko remains to injury-prone and that doesn’t improve with age. I think that the Nets will not amnesty Outlaw until it benefits them. If they are able to get two forwards including Nene, it could happen. Otherwise, if the amnesty provision is active for a year, it allows King to hold the cap space over for when he needs it without committing to another long term deal.

4. Lopez’s upcoming season will determine just how much work has to be done. He now has a point guard that can make things easy on him. He won’t be facing the double teams as much and he definitely won’t have to force shots and carry the offense as much. So does that mean he will bring some more rebounding to the table? We’ll see.
We should only be committing money to game changers that stay healthy. Nene is at the top of that list on a team lacking a defensive identity.

5. Bench hard to speculate on.

6. Love Battier but our 3 is going to have to be able to create his own shot to play alongside Morrow. This is why I say Prince. He is the most balanced 3 out there.

7. I think Mitchell will be back because of course college basketball is already up and going and teams are not going to have time to plan moves like in the past. It is all going to go down in a flurry. Mario Elie sounds good to me.

8. Yormark will continue to look ahead with his pursuits. Brooklyn is the focus.

9. I want our PA guy back from the Finals era. He was passionate but not out there to go with a great voice.

Happy to see Billy King graduated in an accelerated "how to make a trade" class in just one night :)
