Nets Hire CSKA Moscow Official to Handle International Sales
The Nets have announced the hiring of CSKA Moscow's public address announcer, commentator and blogger, Dmitry Materanskiy, to be Director of International Sales for the Barclays Center. Materanskiy will operate out of an office in Moscow with a focus on Russia, China...and not surprisingly, Turkey.
Materanskiy will be responsible for identifying global alliances for Barclays Center in Europe and Asia, while also recognizing "appropriate brands that can support Nets initiatives", specifically partnerships, according to a press release from the Nets.
Materanskiy is an active blogger for Russia's Sports Tribune and has a popular Twitter feed. He is the second "hire" from Mikhail Prokhorov's old team in the last several months. Prokhorov named his long time sports advisor and former CSKA GM, Sergey Kushchenko, to the Nets Board of Directors in May.

Now that we have CSKA’s public address announcer, can we please announce who OUR public address announcer is? After all the hoopla surrounding the auditions, it’s been silence.
