Maccabi Tel Aviv's 11-game winning streak came to an end Sunday night, when Hapoel Jerusalem beat Maccabi before 11,000 at Nokia Arena in Tel Aviv. Not only was Jordan Farmar out for the second straight game with a hand injury, but his back-up, one-time Euroleague MVP Theo Papaloukas, was also out.

It was the first time in 21 years Hapoel had beaten Maccabi at home during regular season. In a video interview before the game, Farmar explained that career development was the driving force behind his decision.
