Now that all but the top 50 NBA players have been ranked by ESPN's 91 "experts", it's time, the Worldwide Leader tells us, to take a look at who was snubbed in the rankings.
For two of the ESPN experts, the answer is simple: the 51st highest ranked player, Brook Lopez, needs to be higher.
Devin Kharperterian of Nets are Scorching and Brendan Jackson of Celtics Hub both think Lopez's shooting touch and durability, having never missed a game in three NBA seasons, make him deserving of spot at the next level. As Kharperterian notes, Lopez was recovering from mononucleosis at the beginning of the season but in the last eight games he averaged 26 ppg on 54%. (Then again, Zach Lowe of SI ranked him 49th.)
