TMZ reports Kris Humphries is among those hurt in a $1.7 million fraud allegedly perpetrated by a 27-year-old friend.

Humphries apparently gave hedge fund manager Andrey C. Hicks "hundreds of thousands of dollars" to invest, but Hicks instead diverted the  funds to his personal account.  Hicks was arrested in Canada trying to flee to Switzerland, reports the site. Hicks was cited for falsely representing himself and his Massachusetts hedge fund, Locust Off-Shore Management. Among other things, Hicks claimed to have two degrees from Harvard when in fact he flunked out. 

Hicks attended the Humphries-Kardashian wedding in August.
