D-Will Blog, "Live from Turkey", To Appear on ESPN NewYork
It turns out that Deron Williams' diary on ESPN NewYork --the one that ended with a shoutout to Nets fans-- is just the beginning. ESPN NewYork and Williams announced Thursday they're combining on a blog about Williams' experience overseas, entitled, "Live from Turkey". It will also appear on D-Will's official website.
"This is an incredible adventure, and I am excited to share this once in a lifetime experience with fans all over the world," said Williams. "I am over here in an amazing country with my wife and four kids…and I get to stay in shape and play basketball. I will be ready to go in the NBA if and when this lockout ends, but in the meantime, my family and I are taking advantage of this unique opportunity."

exactly
you get it. I get it.
It isn’t ESPN Dallas or ESPN LA or ESPN Boston. It’s ESPN New York and the next time he may put on a Nets uniform may be in New York.

what YOU don't get
is that this is a SIGNAL, that this involves MONEY.
Stay within your expertise.

Its good to be optimistic like your self NI
But when will you be convince he aint staying? Kidd made a mistake by resigning and I doubt Nets get lucky twice to snag the best PG in the league with a crappy team.

It's one thing to say you dont think we should be optimistic.
But to say you dont think hes staying because of a hunch is ridiculous. it’s like you are convinced of it.
I think it's fine.

Not really
I just like to play devils advocate……I want D-Willz to stay, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he left.

Besides, when Stern gets his way with the System issues...
DWill won’t have many other options as far as where to go, and get as much money too.
If he does, Im through with the NBA

He's looking
smarter by the day.

The one thing I’m really missing is these peanut butter filled pretzels I used to get from Costco. That’s like my snack of choice.

Nets fans should send him a case of those pretzels.

For everyone who thinks deron is over weight...
isn’t this a good thing that his favorite snack isn’t readily available? And if it’s from Costco, you know he’s buying them by the 5 gallon drum
See you guys in a couple of days. I won't be bringing my notebook computer to DC.
In-laws from China visiting (first time sister-in-law leaving China).
Instead I will be playing with the latest hand held talking English-Chinese translating device.
I will make the difficult prediction that no progress is made in the next couple of days.
I'm in DC
Let me know when you are coming so I can steer clear of the city. :)

"Your 2010-2011 New Jersey Nets - It Is What It Is"
i been sayin from day 1 of the lockout
Dwill goin to europe is to keep the Nets in the media and get players to talk to DWill. He could have went anywhere and for a lot less. I believe he is being paid by Proky through some back channels or affiliations not on paper. DWill could have. Been chillin utah or tx golfin right now but chose to make this move and take tons of criticizm. Big picture people
To be honest looking at the arena already
No matter what happens this season we have a big advantage over most teams with Brooklyn and this arena, D-will isn’t going anywhere I’m pretty sure he can see where the winds are blowing. I have taken off my woe is me Nets hat already no way this operation does not become successful.
"We're not there yet, but we're going somewhere," Johnson said. "And we're going to Brooklyn. We're not going to contract. We're going to Brooklyn."
DWILL
I think this experience will be good for DWILL and good for our NETS as well. Yes, there is a risk of injury, but I am also betting that DWILL is not going full force/balls out in these games. This is a chance for him to get his game back, after the wrist injury. Plus I think he will return home with a greater appreciation of the big world out there, which can only help PROKY get his globalization message across. I think a few more weeks of lockout for DWILL will not be a bad thing. GO NETS! Gobble Gobble Gobble…Just love Turkey!

Lovin the optimism today
My only question is this: has prokhorov weighed in on the status of the lockout yet? I think the nets are being misrepresented in the labor talks, as we used qualify as both a small market team AND a low-spending team
Thats what we are until we prove otherwise
Prokorov hasn’t even gotten the chance to do anything with this dam Lockout. Well i mean he did fail at getting Lebron, Melo, Wade, etc, but thats besides the point.
"Most people on this board are like a broken clock, Only right two times a day"
Youre way off base here chief
theres no burden of proof that we’re a big market team coupled with the richest owner in the NBA. We have a max contract on the books.
So what are we exactly?
"Most people on this board are like a broken clock, Only right two times a day"
Let me clarify
The burden of proof no longer lies with this franchise when it comes to things like “being in a Big market” or “being afraid to spend money on talent”. Lock out or not, we have Brooklyn and we have deron Williams. Two assets every other “down and out team” dreams about on a nightly basis.
I’m not talking about proky’s “success” over a year ago in free agency. if you don’t see lebron landing in Miami as a forgone conclusion, then I really can’t help you. instead, we have arguably the best Pg in the game. This teams history should clue you in to the value of all-time great point guards and eventually success in the playoffs.
I think the nets are inaccurately being used to justify the wishes of the owners, when no one seems to know where our owner stands on the issues.
LMAO
We have a question mark about D-Willz when it comes to the Nets future, along with every other player you guys dream about. The Nets only have Brooklyn and thats it. Team dream about? There are alot of bad teams that are starting to become good because of the young talent they have. We have a PG that was probably crying when he heard he got traded to the Nets, and no matter how you shape you response towards my comments, the Nets have nothing guranteed in there future besides Brooklyn.

And I like the way the ended the long bio...
“He will be the king of the world,” Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov said. “The first really global basketball player.”
I think it's fine.
