Arena Work Continues in Brooklyn
Demolition crews began tearing down buildings Friday for the Barclays Center interim parking lot, 1,000 feet down the street from the arena construction. Last week's snow is not expected to have much, if any, effect on the arena construction timetable. An opening week of concerts is still planned for summer of 2012.
The landscaped, enclosed 1,100-space lot will be temporary until Bruce Ratner gets financing for several apartment towers on the site. At the same time, another piece of the puzzle is taking shape. Across the street from the arena, on the old site of Freddy's Bar, Ratner has set side land for use as an "arena broadcast support area". It's where television satellite trucks will operate from during games and other events.
The arena is, according to Adrian Wojnarowski, a big draw for Carmelo Anthony. He writes that 'Melo's agents "have long wanted to get Anthony and another of their clients, New Orleans point guard Chris Paul to the Nets as the franchise prepares for a move to Brooklyn, N.Y."

Looks like they have made some progress with the Foundation since the last photo.
Are they working today? How much snow has come down?
It snowed again yesterday but probably 5-6 inches
Not to bad, I know Brooklyn had it worse regarding street cleaning, but we probably have our own private snow plowers or something.

lol Honestly this is how I see it
1. People have been ripping the Nets front office since this began making fun of king etc, but I think we could have had Melo before and we can have him at any time. Its about getting the best deal for us, its not going to be perfect but I feel the whole waiting out have been been beneficial to us because the Nuggets front office is feeling the burn especially after that Kings game. They have to do something and where the most viable option in terms of not being in the Western conference, not being the Knicks and having the most pieces.
2. Having the agent on our side is huge, he is talking in Melo’s ear, you have to think Jay-Z and Proky have had talks with him possibly within the last 24 hours but I’m sure throughout the season I’m guessing that this is when moving to Brooklyn might actually pay off and the freshness factor will work to our advantage, we shall see either way King will be changing this team over before the season is over.
