And now for something completely different. As they sit day after day, night after night, worrying about their charges on the court, assistant coaches Popeye Jones and Doug Overton must be comforted by the success their 16-year-old sons are having on the court (Overton) and, surprisingly, on the ice (Jones).
Miles Overton, a 6'4" sophomore small forward playing for Philadelphia's St. Joseph's Prep, is a rising star in the City of Brotherly Love, recently dropping 32 points on 11 for 17 shooting. But the big surprise has to be Seth Jones, an elite hockey player. Like his father, he's big and talented. He's seen as a surefire NHL prospect. How'd that happen? When Dad played in Toronto, he became a big fan of the ice.
