Thorn Signs Quinn
Rod Thorn must have liked what Chris Quinn gave the Nets last season. The new 76er president signed Quinn to a non-guaranteed training camp contract Thursday. That leaves four Nets from last season without an announced destination: Josh Boone, Trenton Hassell, Jarvis Hayes and Bobby Simmons.
Shawne Williams, who the Nets released after his arrest on drug charges last season, was also signed to a training camp contract Thursday. The Knicks are giving him a shot.

Tony Battie and Quinn are with Philly now good
See Thorn being a nice guy and being friends with these guys is fine, but im glad Thorn is gone and we have King now. King knows how to run a franchise. Thorn once did but doesnt anymore. I think Hassell and Hayes deserve jobs. Boone needs to go over seas and Bobby Simmons is set money wise for life.
Quinn is horrible
Please don't mention giving Hayes a job. He could end up being a key to being needed for the Melo trade.
There is a 2.68 million cap hold on Hayes. Hayes could “clean up” if Nets sign and trade Hayes. Then he could be waived and he could still play in Europe. However, it isn’t clear if the Maximum Hayes could be signed for is $2.68 million. If it was higher, then it might not be necessary to include Murphy. I’m still waiting for an answer.
Someone should have asked King that question during the radio interview.
They should have also asked whether Nets have acquired a TE from the Yi trade.
Also they should have asked what was the purpose for getting Stephen Graham? (perhaps he was needed to secure that TE, or he would take the place of DJames, after being traded).

Courtney Lee should be happy that people didnt know how bad he was last year, they probably still have faith in his magic game. I didnt expect that CLee would be that bad.
Our team last year was formed by Thorn and Ratner with free agents that were cheap and we just got them. Plus we had the worst coach in NBA history for both of them Frank and Kiki.

And Yi was given a lot of minutes last year to many, and when he was in he was horrible
Yi and CDR were casaulties of LeBron.
Nets could have received much more earlier on, but then they would have had less cap space in early July.
Thorn, IMO did poorly in negotiating the CDR trade. We expected a mid 2nd round 2010 Bucks pick and it seems that Thorn caved in and received a bad 2012 pick instead.
