Yormark Remembers
Here's a message to those who doubt Brett Yormark: The Nets CEO has a very long memory. SI's Chris Mannix writes about the Barclays Center boxing deal with Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Productions. Specifically, Mannix reports on how the LA-based promoter got the inside track and how one Brooklyn promoter got his nose out of joint. Lou DiBella is upset he's been left out of the deal. Of DiBella, Yormark says, ""He's a naysayer who never thought the Barclay Center would ever happen. Right or wrong, he stood on principle waiting for a phone call. Golden Boy saw the opportunity and seized it."
