NetsDaily Update

We've done some updating and housekeeping the last few days.

We've cleaned out some of the dead wood in the left hand column, replacing the IZOD Center Seating Chart with one for the Prudential Center; updating links to the six official websites/blogs of Nets players (Devin Harris, Terrence Williams, Jordan Farmar, Travis Outlaw, Johan Petro and Sean May) and to the seven players who have twitter pages (Harris, Williams, Outlaw, Petro and May plus Kris Humphries and Anthony Morrow); as well as adding new resources on Nets' trade assets, agent representation, and Team Prokhorov, a who's who of the new ownership.

Great job as usual fellas

Again, a possible suggestion would be to add a section with traveling information for folks still unsure about how to get to the Prudential center. I didn’t know that they had a shuttle running from Broad St to the Pru during Devils games, if that is the case for Nets games as well it would be good for our Northern brethren to know. Maybe other folks with info could pitch in as well.

Probably closer to start of the season

I thought the Nets were offering some kind of packages for mass transit. Once all the information is in place, I think this is a great idea.

yeah

if they are offering packages for Mass transit that would be great for us to know

Off topic... Wake up the "stat geeks"... I need answers now!

I been reading posts about Troy Murphy being one of the worst defensive PF’s in the league last year. The stat geeks (kv,muwu, etc.) use statistical analysis breakdowns in assessing this “fact”. I’m not arguing against them, but I was just on an Indiana SB*Nation website and they also used computations back in June to figure out the Hibbert/Murphy tandem and why it needed changing. If I’m reading their charts right it seems that Murphy played almost half his minutes at Center last season. If this is true, when compiling Murphy’s numbers at the PF position do they include his numbers atthe center position and do they factor out the oppositions PF’s #‘s and use the opponents center’s numbers, or do they just rely on a limited sample at PF?

Murphy's defense is not that good

I mean, he isn’t a matador or doesn’t try, it’s just that like David Lee, he can’t physically defend some of these guys.
