The quality of NBA nicknames has seen a sharp decline in the last few years. We went from nicknames like Earl "The Pearl" Monroe, Earvin "Magic" Johnson, Gary "The Glove" Payton to Chris "CP3" Paul, Chris "CB4" Bosh, Deron "D-Will" Williams.
Looking at the nicknames of some of the PBA's (Philippine Basketball Association) players, the variety and creativity of the nicknames are a far cry from the current monotony lazy nicknames. Here are some of the good ones:
