Adrian Wojnarowski suggests that Carmelo Anthony is not all that pumped up about the Knicks, in spite of the recent hype. Quoting sources close to the Nugget star, he writes Houston may hold more lure than New York.
Woj doesn't mention the Nets in his analysis of the 'Melo Sweepstakes, but notes that Anthony could sign with the Nuggets and then seek a trade during the season if things don't work out. "For him to opt out of his contract at the end of next season would be an immense risk," because of proposed changes in the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Woj notes.
He also writes that Denver exec Josh Kroenke met with 'Melo in Baltimore last weekend and restarted contract talks.
