Cant express enough how much I hate this trade, we give up Courtney Lee, a player who was given major minutes last season even early on when he was having major struggles cause we were sold that he was a big part of our future, for a long shot hope at a super star.

We just saw the same thing happen when CDR and Yi were given away for nothing in hopes of lebron which i didn't like as i thought both player still had considerable upside but at the end of the day it was still yi and cdr and after last season i wasnt too fussed to see them leave.

Courtney Lee on the other hand while struggling early came home strong at the end of the season and while I personally don't think he will be an all star he is the kind of player that championship teams have, good attitude hard working defender who can shoot the 3 ball and get to the ring occasionally with the right player around him.

No matter how much you dislike Lee you can't say giving him over for a one year stop gap was a good idea. It's not like were competing for the playoffs this season so whats the point of giving up a young asset for troy bloody murphey for one season so we can what? win an extra 10 games so we get the 15th pick instead of the 5th??

All so we can get our savior carmelo? This is unspeakably stupid after what just unfolded in free agency you think old mate billy king would have realised giving up young talent for a pipe dream of landing a player every team in the nba is perusing is just stupid, do you think the thunder got to where they are by trading their good young defenders away for cap relief and long shots in free agency?

Also if any time during the season favours looks ready to start then this looks even stupider.

One final note, I understand that getting melo is stil a possibility and then obviously this would all seem to be worth it but its just not smart basketball to put all your eggs in one basket to have the basket thrown back in your face so you can do it ll over again and if melo did express interest in the nets at the end of the season would it really be that hard to give away lee for cap room then? In fact after a stable season his value would probably be a lot higher!

In conclusion....fire billy king!
