I'm reading these boards now and you can see the sentiments of poster slowly shift from "we may actually get Lebron" to "face it he's not coming and we'll win 30 games next season" . That's a bit disheartening, and you can start to see why the Nets have been sidekick to the Knicks all these years, even the years we've been better. The important thing to note is that we are actually having these conversations. Sift through the boards last year at this time, and tell me if any nets fan had a glimmer of hope that we do now. Will Lebron come here when he announces tomorrow, who knows. But the thing is we are finally allowed to think he may be. We can, for the first time in a long time, credit our team as a legit team. Granted we're not making a big splash in free agency....yet, but i think this team, is on the up and up. We as fans have been through a roller-coaster, especially these past 2 months, and it is still exciting. The fact that fans are turning negative now is not good. The team will do what it can to improve, and we'll see how serious Prokhorov is. I'll take him at his word about his dedication to this team. We shouldn't be looking at everything with a microscope, and to be honest, outlets like ESPN have magnified this and pushed the analytics of over analyzing onto us. I think we will be OK. I think we have a TEAM right now that will become an elite squad if brought up properly and given the resources it needs. Having said that....I will be REALLY ticked if Lebron goes to the Knicks!
